SASUKE 9 in 2007 back when Challenge first aired the show. It's probably the only channel in the world outside Japan that still airs SASUKE. Cmon NBC get your act together... Do you remember it being called Virgin One back then? Or was it challenge? Idk cause Virgin One was the channel I first saw Sasuke 15 on in 2009, and Wikipedia says Virgin used to own Challenge. I remember Virgin One also showing Ultimate Banzuke immediately afterwards.

SASUKE 5 from G4 (rebroadcasted from a channel in my country) back in 2005. I was expecting to watch Takeshi's Castle but they showed this. Never looked back since then.

Well the posts in this thread were on topic so it would be contributing to the discussion of the thread, if someone said something unrelated that'd be a violation.

Ninja Warrior 1 in 1997, i watched live. tell me more! Nah, that's a lie, here's my story: I saw Ninja Warrior 1 on Local Channel back in 2010 when i was 18 years old, i was expecting to watch Fear Factor (Coffin of Insects), but they changed the program to Sasuke, i remember only Monkey guy and Barrel Climb, then i didn't care the show until late 2013, when i was watching Ninja Warrior 21 on Youtube.

I would catch Ninja Warrior on G4 randomly here and there and watched with very casual interest if I happened to pass by it.
Things changed when I happened to catch an airing of Sasuke 25's third stage (with the original UCH). I couldn't believe how badly people failed it, how impossible it looked, so I looked online to see if anyone had ever beaten it (not knowing this was, at the time, the most recent tournament). That's when I learned that only two people had ever completed the course, and the apparent impossibility of this wacky show Ninja Warrior really started to intrigue me.
Shortly after, ANW 2 began on G4. For me personally in my "Sasuke interest journey" this was like a perfect story. Now I knew it was an impossible course, and now there's a show that's going to find the ten best americans and send them there to see if they can do it!
I know I'm in the minority here, and like I said it was just a matter of perfect timing for where I was at in my developing fandom, but I really, really dug ANW 2. I liked the boot camp format because it got me to know the competitors some without resorting to cheesy 2-minute drama pieces before runs. I saw Evan Dollard offer to go up the heavenly ropes and risk elimination to save his teammate Patrick, in what was some craazy and REAL drama. I saw Levi Meeuwenberg dominate everyone in his prime and got excited him or David could really win.
After this I just got more and more into it, at the time G4 played daily replays of old Sasuke tournaments for at least an hour every morning. Started posting a little on G4's board to try to satisfy my interest, found this site through arsenette, and watched my first live broadcast for Sasuke 27. I'm still a big fan but I do miss the early days when things were a little more mysterious and innocent and new/fresh to me.

Forgot which competition, but I watched a locally dubbed version of Ninja Warrior in my country. Maybe it's around Sasuke 10ish... I saw Nagano winning too.

It was 2009 or 2010,I kept hearing about this thing on On Demand(Comcast R.I.P me) called The Cutting Edge which turned out to be G4.I saw this thing called Ninja Warrior,I watched it and told my dad about it and asked him to watch it,he thought it would be a Japanese Wipeout, but no,after that,we never missed an episode until NW27,when my family went on a trip to California for my older sisters college graduation.
