Hey guys. Not sure how many of you know about/attend the huge, annual Music and Gaming Fest (MAGFest) in DC, but I'm putting on a panel with a bunch of the gamer ninjas on friday eve, Feb 19th. I think it's called "American Ninja Warrior Competitors Panel: GAMER STRONG!" (it's been months since I put in the panel submission, dont remember for sure!), and will include Sasuke OG's Ryan Stratis, Drew Dreschel, and James McGrath, and Sasuke wannabes Me, Chris Wilczewski, and Justin Kydd; and also special guest Sean Darling Hammond. A lot of us owe our exposure to and love of Sasuke to having grown up as huge fans of Japanese video games, anime/manga, martial arts, music and other cultural thingies. This led to us happening to be watching gamer stuff on G4, which led to us bumping into this wicked awesome Japanese game show, which itself appeared to be a real life, Super Mario-esque video game! It gave us a vehicle through which we could potentially connect with this culture that we'd loved, and possibly MAYBEEE have a chance some day to go over and be a part of it! We'll also discuss the ways that the stories, characters, themes, and music of games has driven us to and motivated us in athletic pursuits in our lives.

Magfest.org is the website. Check it out. It's 4 days of amaaaaazing, so even if our panel SUCKS, you'll still walk away heavily satisfied

Are there any plans to record that for those who don't typically go to magfest? That's not the con I usually go to (Otakon is usually the one I go to) but would still like to see this panel.

You should be able to record it without issues. Take a tripod and stick it in a corner of the room near a speaker so people can hear it as well. I didn't have any issues doing that in AnimeNext. Streaming however is another beast altogether. Getting a signal to work (especially with everyone and their mother hitting whatever wifi is available) with very little prep time in a place that will probably only give you about 15 minutes to set up is a nightmare. Just record it and upload it on YouTube later.
