Based on information provided by VTV, it appears that Applications are due in March, tryouts are April 6/7, recording is April 8-20, and airing begins May 19th.
Can someone else verify my findings?

Sounds legit! Inui posted on it a few times this morning along with the news that Vietnam is trying to organize an international.. I'm trying or get information on that but it's definitely April. Edit: Right on their website the application has it open to everyone 18+ with passport and clean criminal record. And TBS posted on their Facebook in English! Inui is posting like crazy today. Seems Kawaguchi is confirmed to be in Team Japan. Edit: Wrote a blog on it. Inui is dealing with the Japan entries while Everyone else has to contact Vietnam directly.

Hi there,
Really sorry to hear about the trouble with the organiser, going to the trials and finding nothing there! Despite those alarm-bells it's pretty exciting that they're welcoming international competitors and it's a Sasuke-style course.
Do any Vietnamese on the forum know the new, correct dates? April 8-20 is a long time to be away from work and family on the other side of the world!

I doubt the international will be the whole time so I'm just as confused. I'm hearing that they changed producers which will explain some of the chaos. If anyone can get a straight answer definitely let us know. I know I'm bombarded with questions from the English speakers. LOL I don't know anything!

April 8-20 is a long time to be away from work and family on the other side of the world! VTV posted the dates on their social media and so I believe April 8-20 is correct. The previous season also had a very long filming block, mostly due to the fact that they ran upwards of 700 competitors through, compared to the 100 in Sasuke. For the International team, I'd honestly recommend contacting them through their website. The international special was filmed on a single day before (if I recall correctly) , so if you let them know you want to be part of that, they can probably give you a specific day or two, rather than the general filming period.

I read April 11 but I don't know where and I can't recreate where I saw it, however YES I recommend sending an email to them.

So, before things get into the nitty gritty. What exactly is the qualifiying round? If it's doing pullups, situps, and tire flips, I might decline the offer.

No idea but expecting an international person go give up almost 3 weeks of their life is utterly preposterous. They are so damn disorganized.. Not even ANW or Sasuke take this long to record a competition.

HELLO EVERYONE. My name is Perry Oosterlee and I am in contact with Sasuke Vietnam. I am making a list of International Competitors, who are willing to fly all the way to Vietnam to compete there. Right now I am negotiating with them, to let us Foreigners compete on the 11th of April on Stage 1(that is their last filming day of Stage 1) instead of the 6th. You do not have to be on my so called International List, to be competing there, but if I present them a full list with names from one person, it would be easier for them to put our names on their list so they don't screw anything up, when you get there on set and they are like: no no no, you are not allowed to compete or whatever. I do this since I just have the time and energy to make one and provide all information on Sasuke Vietnam on a Facebook Group Page. Add me on Facebook if you want to join our List/Group, ONLY if you are able to get time off, and have the money to get to Vietnam etc. I told everyone that these are the dates to look out for, for us foreigners: 9th - 20th April. (11 days including flights on 9th to vietnam, and on the 20th flights back home). With 1 day of adjusting to Vietnam on the 10th and competing on Stage 1 and so on from the 11th of April. BUT I do not yet have a confirmation that they will accept my terms of letting us Foreigners compete there yet, so do not book flights, hotels etc yet!! Unless you're going there for 3 weeks. lol. Hopefully this week I will get a response from them on all of this, so I can speak the news more to you guys and to our group. This is the International List of Foreign Competitors so far, of people who are willing to go to Vietnam on the dates 9th-20th April: -Perry Oosterlee / Netherlands -Chris Wilczewski / USA -Brian Wilczewski / USA -Brett Sims / USA -Reko Rivera / USA -Chunmin Yang / Taiwan -Chang Yi-Ming / Taiwan -Liao Long-Zhun / Taiwan -Chin-Feng Liu / Taiwan -Alvin Tan CK / Singapore -Naoyuki Araki / Japan -Shouichi Takenawa / Japan -Satoru Kishida / Japan -Seren Murayama / Japan -Michelle Warnky / USA -Alan Zhang / Singapore -Tatsuya Tada / Japan -Mike Bernardo / USA Updated within the next few days... I hope we can all get to compete on Sasuke Vietnam! Greetings from The Netherlands, Perry

I'm really happy all of you are banding together to get that international date moved to the last possible day to cut down on the time having to be in Vietnam down by a week! Hopefully that will help fill out the international ranks with more people being able to get there now that LA got moved.

I'm not sure who is going to compete. I wish people would stop comparing this to the ASEAN Cup. I hope the expectations are not as high. And no, no one from Vietnam went to Sasuke 31. There is no clear path through it so if you are competing in Vietnam to try to qualify for Sasuke you are doing it wrong. I think those who did the ASEAN and saw Drew come out through there are hoping this happens with every event. This is not the case. Inui has been clear that this is not the case, Vietnam is organizing everything (and doing a bad job) and TBS is not responsible. I'm praying people who are going aren't going with unrealistic expectations. It would be such a heartbreak along with a very expensive let down.
