I am here to talk about something ridiculous, something that affects each and every member of the forum....
Yesterday night, at about 3AM, my original account: Bystander was banned. This happened whilst I was updating a thread of mine. Why is Yamada hated? Do the All-Stars have a place? Did the Crazy Cliffhanger break the third stage? These are just some of the interesting and varied discussions that I brought to the forums, with nothing but good intentions throughout. I was a relatively new member of 2 and a half months, and one of the most active forum contributors.
Several times, threads of mine were moved, which I believe were unjustified. Why should a thread discussing the Crazy Cliffhanger or the All Stars be moved to the Sasuke 31 forum? Where is the logic in that? I do not know if these were the grounds of my banning, but ether way it seems petty, uncalled for ans unjustified. Each day dozens of members sit idle and unnoticed, whilst you ban one of your most active contributors, a fledging member and true fan. For shame. Me being banned is completely wrong, as aside from one count of missing spoiler tags (Which i recieved a 30% warning for) I have always followed the rules of the forum to the best of my ability.
Additionally, I have recieved no email notification of why I have been banned, and was simply shut out of my account with no explanation and no chance to appeal. Well, I won't stand for it, and here is my appeal now. Members of SMF, how does it feel knowing that your account is at the mercy of moderaters who ban without discretion? Who unfairly nitpick the content of new members? Who unfairly move and edit posts that have had large amount of effort put into them, and then punish you for it? I suspect this banning was petty revenge from my unpopular opinions about American Ninja Warrior and certain competitors, and if so, I kindly request the relevant members to grow up.
I will end this rant with an appeal. Bring back my account; "Bystander" to its original 60% warning. I did nothing to be banned and was a keen and active member of the forums. WAS. If this is how you treat your members, how do ever expect the forums to grow? Not my problem. I am sure other members will agree with me given my active nature, and if you really care about the rules and policy of the forums, you WILL restore my account.
I want Justice, so I can continue to love Sasuke and ANW. The moderators seemingly don't care about my passion. I do. Bring back my account and regain a productive member. Or lose me. Your response will show everybody who you truly are....
