The Jumping spider should stay with out a shadow of a doubt. It looks easy and is if you can hit the mini trampoline just right. Any mistakes then you are swimming."
You think there is any truth in this, or is this guy/gal all BS?

Hard to say. The people he seems to be referencing are Henry Cejudo and Tomohiro Matsunaga. Neither have a web presence so it's hard to verify the news until we see it on TV.
At this point, the person is about as reliable as a 2ch anonymous poster unless I can find something that verifies that either competitor was there.

Ok, so at least there might be an ounce of truth in his statement, as the people he mentions are real. But still, we don't know if all of it are true.

Is that the usual thing, to make everyone but friends and family leave for the second stage? I was under the impression that only friends and family are allowed at the taping anyway.

I think that part is BS. I mean watch when Nagano won and how EVERYONE was cheering him, not just competitors, Like his co-workers, that fan club who holds up that sign. So I think there a chance this is fake.

The only reason I would presume it's close to accurate is because of the Festival. I keep hearing some of the security (at least for first stage) is lax by comparison to stage 2 so it might be that some people managed to sneak in from the festival going on earlier that day. That said.. they shouldn't be posting at all..
IF it's correct that's not surprising since they have done wrestlers and boxers in the past.

TBS did talk about a couple Olympic athletes competing so... I didn't officially hear about which one but they said one was from Japan but I thought he had a Gold and I heard about them trying to get an American Olympian, I was hoping a Michael Phelps in stage 3 but I doubt it. He'd be like a fish out of water anyhow :-P

It's supposed to be one gold medalist, one silver medalist and one Japanese Olympian. They leave it ambiguous as to who the medalists are and don't say where they are from to build suspense for the viewers.
