Stage 4 is one of the most predictable obstacles though, no surprises. I'm sure all of the top guys are training for it. And you would be 100% right. I know myself and quite a few others are aiming for a 30 sec 75 foot rope climb. Better train for it after you've already cleared stage 3.

Oh I don't train at all. Make fun of me all you want, but I'm well aware of how tired your body can become after going through crazy obstacles. Ryo weighs around two-thirds of what these guys weigh and didn't scale the tower quick enough twice. Just saying stage 4 is no joke and I won't be surprised when someone makes it there and fails. *Shrug* I hope one of you makes the finals and proves me wrong.

Well, in school we used to have a rock wall, and when I tried to rush it I was more prone to mistakes and losing my footing, but when I get a slower and steadier pace, I had less struggle. Just saying, if you try too hard to get to the top in time, you can make a screw up. Not to mention, the faster you use your energy, the faster it drains.

It all depends how lenient they are with the time. Travis Rosen is really fast on the rope climb and he only did the 77 feet in 35.77 seconds without having to do stage 3. Sean McColl who is the best in the world at rock climbing BARELY beat him. If they're expecting a sub 35 second time from anyone it would take a miracle. A sub 30 second climb? I can almost fairly deem it impossible.

Nevertheless, rope climb training will help you build endurance useful for any other upper body obstacle so you might as well train for it. Just my opinion. btw it would suck if you clear stage 3 and never trained for this lol

I assume anyone who can clear the 3rd Stage can climb a rope, at least to the point of the Final Stage not being laughable. I'm not sure if anyone can clear the Final Stage without training on a rope but it does have its benefits in all of the stages.

Awww poor Jon Stewart, but he did pretty good. Also, why has everyone been failing so early tonight? A ton of people failed before the wall..

I'm definitely hearing a guy describing what's on screen, it's like audio for the blind... it's not turned on in my system preferences, it's just on this show, like NBC married it to the standard audio on accident? Or maybe it's just Dish?
