I want to say I wasn't keeping track 7-8 runs in, but this is what I have so far: **updated through night** *tapping out * total fails:90 Total Clears: 7 Unstable Knee: 21 Play Ground: 14 Tilting Table: 7 Silk slider: 30 [1]Unknown: 18
[1]Unknow meaning they fell on the course, but I couldn't see where OR they were disqualified. Thanks for giving us this information! But is it possible you can reveal a little more like a better course description and or the results of notable competitors if you can but if you can't that's fine too. And yes this thread should probably marked as having some spoilers.

Just to put into perspective, the 5th obstacle is so stupid that we even rejected a similar concept to it on the POAST OBSTICLE thread, where obstacles such as the rolling escargot with drops and the stratospheric cliffhanger are accepted... xD

Venice Beach -- Region 1: City Qualifiers Runners: 124 Total -- 102 Callbacks, 22 Walk-ups (as casting is insisting we call them now). Fails by obstacle: Quintuple Steps: 13 Slider to Rope: 47 Tilting Table: 17 Chandelier Swing: 11 Butterfly Bridge: 29 Warped Wall: 0 Notable Fails: Kyle Cochran -- Slider to Rope Rob Moravsky -- Slider to Rope Thaddius Robeck -- Tilting Table Jessie Graff -- Butterfly Bridge* Yen Chen -- Butterfly Bridge (finished 32/30 ) Brian Kretsch -- Butterfly Bridge** Arnold Hernandez -- Butterfly Bridge* Travis Weinand -- Butterfly Bridge* Ben Melick -- Butterfly Bridge* David Campbell -- Butterfly Bridge* * Qualified for city finals on time ** Fractured tibia coming off tilting table, completed the swing and then tried to trampoline with a broken leg. The sight of him grabbing his leg while flying through the air into the water isn't something I want to remember. CLEARS (in order from fastest to slowest): 1. Kevin Bull: 0:56 2/3. Alan Connealy: 1:30 2/3. Nick "Modern Tarzan" Coolridge: 1:30 4. Travis Brewer: 2:07 5. ?: 2:37 6. ?: 2:38 7. Alvaro "J.R." Campos: ~3:00 (I forgot to start the stopwatch on his run--he might be under 2:30 for all I know). That's all for today folks. As always, you never got this information from me. Will post results of tonight tomorrow sometime.

I'm truly sorry Yen... I'm sorry you got eliminated so early... [EDIT] EH?! Brian broke his leg?! Holy... I don't even remember a time in SASUKE someone broke a bone... ANW is really risky as of... well... now... recover swiftly Brian...

{Spoiler}I was beside the course waiting to run when I saw the Tilting Table slam on Nika Muckelroy's shoulder in Dallas last year. That obstacle legitimately scares me.

Um. This competition sounds kinda risky. I can hear their new slogan already:
AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR: Who will come out ALIVE?!?!

Well this leaves them in an awkward position going into the finals. Absurdly dangerous obstacle destroys a competitor's leg and only 7 people out of 36 cleared it? There's no way they can put this in the city finals course.
...Right?

Ok I was wrong about Russo, seems they just hired Wipeout course designers instead. I mean seriously wtf are half of these obstacles...This is why I don't watch ANW, because its just stupid! Everyone needs to hope the execs never saw the nico nico broadcast otherwise we could be seeing the swinging basketball or the circle slider with the massive gap in the middle of it soon... Even them seem less stupid than some of these obstacles. Also it sucks Yen Chen that you just missed out Just think you lost out to a bulls**t obstacle designed poorly by idiots who have no regard for health and safety. I have a new mindset now for ANW, how much worse can the other qualifiers be compared to this? If I see a Backstream I will laugh so hard

Yeah it was scary seeing Brian's run. I'm first in line right now for the semi-finals and they actually fixed the line situation. They have a line for people with tickets and a line for friends and family. Hoping to see everyone run in the semis and maybe get to talk to a few people like yesterday.

No word on James McGrath? Who the hell is James McGrath? I heard James talking about him finding out the day before yesterday that he was tol he was going to be in another region. Also do we still need to use spoiler tags in this thread because it is the official thread? Mods your thoughts.
