Hey everyone! I'm making a thread basically to advertise my new youtube series. Basically it's another home-made obstacle series to similair to Kouen Supiritto and Mercury laboratories. As of now, only the opening video for my first season is uploaded, but the rest of season 1 will be uploaded in it's entirety in less than a week. Here's the link Don't forget to subscribe to my channel for future videos! Comments: The videos won't be too high quality. My camera sucks and I'm a horrible camera-man. The videos were taken over a year ago and I had just gotten that camera so I barely knew how to use it. Since last year I've learned a LOT. If you compare my first season to Chris's or Sesslers first it's actually not that bad. Everyone's first season is relatively crappy, mine included. not to say that it's bad but there's a lot that can be improved upon. Chrisketchum from these forums did ALL of the video editing by himself. So mad props to him. He made my mediocre season 1 look GREAT! So anyway, check out my channel, watch the video, subscribe, and also check ou Chris's videos while you're at it. His channel www.youtube.com/user/Chrisketchum1My channel www.youtube.com/user/BadalightEven though the videos are a year old it's okay, because 222 hasn't finished his videos that were recorded a 11 months ago. So while we are sort of in the same boat I am uploading all my vids this week while he's leaving his series hanging ;D

Hey! Episode 2 is now released! Please watch it and give me some feedback! Also if you would take your time to rate it high and subscribe to my channel I'd be extremely grateful!
It may not be the best out there but it's my first season after-all, and feedback is needed.

Here's some feedback on your course.
1. The time limit was kinda leniant. Most people in the first stage passed with 15-25 seconds and the second stage had people with 30 seconds left.
2. The rock wall. Maybe in your next tourney could you make them climb all the way to the top instead of them just reaching there hand out halfway up.
3. I really like this obstacle course. Good Job!

He basically said it all. Fix time limts (1st stage about 95-75, 2nd about 85) and rock wall (have them stand on their feet at top if its safe or have them go up the toughest part)

I've already filmed Season 2 and trust me, I fixed the time limits.
Also on the rock wall, I can't really change that, there is a buzzer ontop, and they have to hit it, not my fault if some people don't have to climb all the way up to hit it. It doesn't matter though, no one was close enough to timing out that it would've made a difference.
Thanks, part 3 will be up by tommoro morning, 4 and 5 should be the day after, followed by 6 the day after that and the final credits video which contains a special surprise at the end.

I like it, it's giving me ideas for the first stage when my pool opens for the summer....heres my obstacle list.... Stage 1 (80-90 seconds) 1. Quintuple Steps 2. Horizontal Rope 3. Balance Walk 4. Jump Hang 5. Warped Wall 6. Hop Rocket 7. Rope Climb 8. Escape Ladder Yea i know, 2 final first stage obstacles is crazy, but hey thats just how i roll
I have no idea what im gonna do for stage 2, 3, or final yet but i got loads of time to figure that out.
As far as your course goes, the obstacles are good, the weight walk is kinda longish and is a boring way to end the course and the time is leniant but still very nice job.

I understand, this was recorded over a year ago, just barely. I HATE my old first stage. The worst stage I've ever made by far =p needs to be more linear, and I agree that last obstacle sucks.
Don't worry, the other stages are at least a little bit better, and season 2 blows this one out of the water. Only difference will be I won't have Chris Ketchums editing skills to help me make it look fancy.

Also, comment on my vids, rate 5 stars, and most of all subscribe. Even if you don't use youtube much, when other peopel see how many subscribes I'll have they'll think they should subscribe to. The more the merrier.

[edit] Chris did the editting? Chris... black text on black background doesn't show up very well. I'm assuming that you are refering to the credits. 1> I fixed that in later episodes. 2> White text did even worse on that background. 3> High quality may help slightly.

High Quality doesn't help black on black, nothing does. And yes, I understand that white wouldn't have worked when the red (orange? whatever the pattern was) comes around. That's why you "emboss" or "frame" the letters. Given them contrasting depth. [edit] And just to make sure you don't just think that I'm just a dick, the rest of your overlays look amazing and are really well put together. (The Timer, the competitor name+stage number, etc. etc.) Even the credit roll looks really awesome, besides the aforementioned black on black .

By the way, I'm recording Season three in exactly a week. Well... April 16th.
Stage 3 is INSANE... it'll be even more insane if I can fix my pipe slider by then (Using rope SUCKS)

Sounds like a good idea to me, no one would pass and like arsenette said "[Sasuke Stage 3 was] created by Satan!", however i cant speak for Junsei Ryou, bada, are you related to Satan?

Currently my stage 3 is.
1. A horizontal rope climb
2. A conrete wall which acts sort of like a long sky walk
3. Devil Steps
4. Cliff-Hanger (Using the ones I have vids. of on youtube)
5. Curtain Cling (Same thing except instead of 1 long curtain it's 5 seperate ones.
6. Curtain Swing (Pipe slider esc but you're swingin from a curtain which is harder to hold onto. Much harder than dead hanging from a bar like the pipe slider. Also, you have no rest between obstacles 5 and 6.
7. Pipe slider (on rope) And yes, it works perfectly. Well I actually broke it today, but when it was working it was perfect, actually it seemed like it was sliding backwards more than it does on the show... so maybe a harder pipe slider but with a shorter track? It was nearly impossible to make the jump because everytime I tried building momentum I'd slide back just like the real thing. Also it made this loud screeching noise which was annoying...
But if I can get it to work... it'll be a beastly third stage. Almost as hard as the real one, maybe about even if you discount the shin cliff-hanger.

Rider: The stage 3 vids will be up today, but I'm sorry I got your hopes up. I said CURRENTLY my stage 3 is that, this is not currently. I'm currently on season 3 while this is season 1.
This is season 1, recorded almost exactly a year ago. My second season spits on this one. No fingers in the camera, better camera angles, less shaky, harder and better stages.
That was recorded about 6 months ago before it got cold.
Season 3 is going to be recorded in exactly 14 days.
Season 1's stage 3 is going to look incredibly easy in comoparison to season 3's.
As you can see I pretty much follow the Sasuke schedule of 1 every 6 months.

And almost like G4, except instead of a couple months behind, you're 6 months or more behind.
