Halloween was pretty boring for me this year, as usual. Ended up having to work, and it was raining anyway. We ended up getting a side-thread started in the Halloween thread, split for obvious reasons. :| I live in San Diego, as well. I did a long distance relationship once, and it didn't end well, but she lived in LA, so I thought that was long distance lol. Good luck. My current GF lives in the OC. Only 80 miles, but still. Yes 30 degrees is ridiculous. Not worth the candy as far as I'm concerned. Definitely not worth the candy, but is definitely worth visiting for about 5 minutes after basking in the ~100° weather we get normally :/ We have breaking alert updates on the news when it sprinkles outside lol Don't forget the numerous car accidents and traffic on the freeways.

I forgot you lived here. OC isn't too far, esp if you are in north county. I live in Spring Valley and she lived in Pasadena so it was like two hours plus whatever traffic added. I guess it isn't really long distance unless it's so far that you need a plane ride to get there. I've only met one girl online I really liked and it was her, and meeting her, I just didn't find her attractive like her photos made her out to be. 4 hours of driving in gas but it was worth it. The lesson here? Skype kids. Use it.

I forgot you lived here. I live in Spring Valley... I live in El Cajon. Though i'm probably (most likely) moving to Mission Valley in a few months. OC isn't too far, esp if you are in north county. I live in Spring Valley and she lived in Pasadena so it was like two hours plus whatever traffic added. Thankfully she's in South OC (Irvine/Mission Viejo area), but i'm in SD's "East County" (El Cajon/La Mesa area). It only takes about two hours to get to where she's at, depending on traffic. Most of the trip is just getting out of SD county and past Camp Pendleton, from there it's pretty smooth. I guess it isn't really long distance unless it's so far that you need a plane ride to get there. I've only met one girl online I really liked and it was her, and meeting her, I just didn't find her attractive like her photos made her out to be. 4 hours of driving in gas but it was worth it. The lesson here? Skype kids. Use it. Surprisingly, and thankfully, we're not that far away from each other, and we're not a couple that met online; I used to go to college up in OC, which is when I met her originally. We've learned to abuse the use of Skype in between our visits; skype every few days, visits every 2 weeks or so, depending on when schedules allow. Yeah I will probably never see snow either for the same reason as you two. So sad :( Depending on where you're at, you might be able to see snow. Here in California, snow is only a few hours drive at most away from practically every major metropolitan area.

Yeah I have zero excuse for not seeing snow. I could easily go up the mountains, I just don't really have time or want to do that. I'll see it when I see it, I don't really want to live in San Diego my whole life, like to go around the country a bit.
Damn, Anshinritsumai, I say I live in Spring Valley, but I actually live in Rancho San Diego, which I'm sure you know is just a bit south of El Cajon. Most SD'ers don't know about RSD so I always say either El Cajon or Spring Valley. I'm near Brabham and Jamacha, right by the 7/11 and Shell gas station. Or a 5 minute walk from the Rancho San Diego Library branch.

Snow's nice in moderation, but just rainy/cold like Seattle would be perfect. I lived in Texas and Oklahoma briefly and it went well below the temperatures required for snow and ice (the pool froze).
Oh yea, I know RSD, I was looking at some apartments down there about this time last year, and i've got some friends that live down in RSD. I'm off Broadway over by Parkway Plaza mall and the 8 and 67 connection, right by the Target.

I live in Haughton, LA, about 20 minutes outside of Shreveport. We don't get snow much either. We're lucky if we get a few flurries of snow every couple of years. If we're REALLY lucky, it might even stick for a day or two.

It's about a 45-minute drive from Haughton to the Texas border. My grandparents (my mom's mother and step-father) lived in Georgetown, Texas, just outside of Austin. We used to go over there to visit sometimes. My grandfather died in July of 2009, and my grandmother died in May of last year. We haven't been back to Georgetown since then.

I live in eastern Pennsylvania in a suburban township outside of Allentown. We tend to get a lot of snow; last year was a near-record-breaking year in terms of total accumulation, and it was bitterly cold throughout much of that time (the wind chill frequently went into negative numbers, and was a big part of why it took such a long time for any of it to melt). Hopefully this winter isn't as bad, contrary to what is being predicted (i.e. another harsh season).

Maybe one day you can visit me! I live just north of Fort Worth in a small town called Trophy Club! I'll be moving soon however to southern Fort Worth but still. Be honored to meet you!

Do you think you'll go to the ANW7 taping, Angel? As a spectator?

They shoot at night because:
- they think it looks cooler on TV - f*** the competitors
The nighttime thing won't change. Does that mean you won't be going?

If you want, if Dallas holds ANW again I can try and convince my mom to let you stay with us for a night I wouldn't be opposed, though there are a lot of factors. 1.) Will Dallas be a location? 2.) Will I get accepted onto the show? 3.) If I am accepted, will Dallas be my region? It was my region for ANW4, but it was not my region for ANW6. They unfortunately stuck me in the St. Louis region which had an insane amount of applicants. Not a surprise I wasn't chosen.

St Louis kind of was the packed region, since not only was it for people around that area, it was the northeast regional as well... (then again so was Miami to a degree and a few in Denver but St Louis definitely was the majority). ANW6's mapping was all kinds of f'd up... But yeah getting accepted in St Louis was a b****, glad they were nice enough to take 24 Walk Ons (even if one left because of the day delay, his class was more important and that's acceptable to put studies over what seemed to be a long shot of getting to run even if all 23 of us ran)
