So I was looking around on the internet and couldn't find a definite answer. I was wondering how many people get to compete in the city qualifier rounds, like i want to know the total number of people who started from the beginning, including all the cities from each qualifying round.
Also does anyone know how many try out, because it'd be cool to know the ratio of people who send in videos/ tried out vs how many actually made the show.
Different years will obviously be different numbers most likely but I'm most curious about the most recent anw 6.

In ANW6 the legal forms that they have 125 spots, 100 invites and 25 spots reserved for walk ons, keep in mind they don't usually take that many, the most this year was taking in 24 in st louis (and after the weather delay one left)
On a related note, st louis walk on #12 here

I am planning on trying out for anw7 and I heard walking on was sometimes a long wait. And I was kind of wondering what my chances were to make the show. And thanks for the info by the way!

Your chances to make it on as a walk-on are incredibly low unless you arrive several days early or you are a hot woman. If production is really behind, they'll hardly run any walk-ons at all. Try to make a solid, unique submission video for next year and get in that way if you can.

Yeah I planned on making a super beast submission video, and if that doesn't get chosen then I'll try to walk on.

I have seen several post from A.Deign Casting on twitter stating this.

I just want to point out, remember how I said I was 12th walk on. I was 6 days early... you need to consider that as well

Don't go for "beast" in your video. 99% of ANW guys think they're beasts, and they fill their videos with their best training footage. Those submissions don't get selected. Be creative and show some personality. Make yourself marketable to the TV company, because ANW is a TV show first, athletic competition second. If you have a sob story or used to be really fat, that will help too.

I was was just saying beast because I was implying that i'd make a high quality video, and I've got an idea on how I can sell myself for the backstory part (which I hate how they focus on that so much)

Just think that they get several thousand videos. If it looks like all the others then you don't stand out. Make them remember you (in a good way LOL)
