I don't like rankings for tournaments that aren't identical. IMO obviously. Most of these lists are just used to pit fans against each other and nothing more.

Meh, some I agree with, some I don't. This list is OK.

Although vandals at Sasukepedia have tried to make it seem otherwise, Yamaguchi did not clear the 1st stage in 30. His name was not shown amongst the other finishers that cleared stage 1 that tournament. So this list would need to be modified to correct that mistake.

I can't believe I read that out loud... Anyways I do agree Yuuji, Nagano, and Takeda should be high I'm kinda surprised Shingo is somewhat low. Even still fantastic list.

This list is very interesting! Scnoi and I worked together on a SASUKE competitor calculator a while back (for results up to SASUKE 27), and I'd be interested in seeing how our spreadsheet formula would compare/contrast to you and your friend's when ours is up-to-date. Although each ranking system is of course subject to debate, I always find things such as these as fascinating (granted, at college I'm studying to be a math teacher, but my case still stands as a fellow SASUKE fan ). By the way, is there any chance that your "special formula" can be provided somewhere? I don't know if I completely missed a link to it within the URL you provided (I apologize if I overlooked the obvious), but checking it out would be really neat.

SASUKEmetrics!
For those who don't follow the usage of stats in sports, since the 70s people have been trying to find ways to use numbers to determine the "value" of players that go beyond just raw numbers. Baseball was the first to really start integrating it into management decisions (Moneyball) but all the major sports, to some degree, use math to assist in their scouting. For fans, it's another weapon used to bludgeon each other during arguments.

It's always neat to see how various algorithms produce different results. Out of everything that was on and off the list, I was most surprised that Akira Omori didn't make the top 50 at all.

This list is just a full of bulls**t. I don't care if nobody doesn't agree with me but ranking Lee En-Chih, Kanno, Okuyama, Matachi and for the love of god, Nagasaki above Nagano, Takeda, Takahashi and Yamamoto is totally bulls**t.
