Holy crap, this is the coolest game show I've ever seen, go figure that it's in Japan.
The show is called: Million Kazoku
The basic point is that a Japanese Family hides 3 members of the family in their own house. And I do mean, HIDES them. I've seen people stuffed in a double sided entertainment center, in a huge dresser, in some kind of a bath hideaway, and, BEHIND A DOOR (no joking).
The premise is that the two main hosts of the show, I think I have seen them before but I don't know their names, plus a comedian/talento that they have along, scours the house looking for the family members. They have 30 minutes to do that, and if they don't find all three members, the family receives a prize of 1 million yen.
The particular episode I caught in full had that as the first half, and then an all comedian special, where 10 celebrities/comedians hid in a 6 story mall, 4 or 5 celebrities were looking for them, and there were 100 minutes to do so. They all had plastic pouches of what I assume was 1 million yen (could have been 100,000 yen) stuck to their heads, and they could keep it if they weren't.
Juuuuuust in case someone comes across this episode, I won't spoil it. Long story short, the celebrities hiding were subjected to a very terrible torture chamber thing if they were found. You know, in the "Japanese Comedic Torture" kind of way.
A few people have uploaded videos to YouTube, Google Video, and DailyMotion, so just scour Google for them.
This is a GREAT show. Apparently it used to be weekly, but is now twice a year, or... something like that.
It's an awesome show.
