Pay off my brother's college debt, my own college debt, stash some of it away for my children's college debt, and then donate the rest to Crohn's research. 'Course, with tuition these days, there won't be anything left for that. :/

I'll let you know what I plan to do with the prize money once I win in ANW7. If I would by some miracle win, however, it would probably go mostly towards family expenses (college, household expenses and maintenance, etc.), with the remainder being saved in my bank account and (hopefully) gain a decent amount of interest over time for major future expenses in my life. Aside from this, I'd love to arrange a visit (and train with) some of the Japanese competitors, similarly to what Miska did a few months ago by traveling there all the way from Finland. It would be really neat to talk with other long-time fans (via a translator, of course) about the many different aspects of SASUKE. I'm sure all of us would find such discussions all-the-more interesting since we'd offer our different viewpoints regarding SASUKE as a result of coming from different cultures (foreign vs. domestic viewers) as well as actually interacting with them face-to-face (I've never even met anyone on SMF in-person yet). It would also be really neat to experience and understand other aspects of Japanese culture in general, and hopefully I could inform them of how certain traditions there compare or contrast to those of Western society. Overall, such a trip to Japan would be as informative as it would be interesting, and certainly one I would never forget!

Well, I'm not old enough to be on ANW, but if I won when I am old enough to compete, I'd pay off things like bills, funds, etc. before I buy stuff for personal use.

I'm actually VERY lazy and I want to change that and there isn't much a better way to do so than to train with the best and get some pointers from them!

I'd invest in a business that could make more money over time. $500,000 is a lot but it's still a finite amount of money.

Would depend on if it's a lump sum payment or an annuity spread over several years. Also would depend on how much is left after federal and state taxes. That $500k could turn into $300k before you even see a penny.
If it were a lump sum I would pay off my house and invest the rest for retirement. If it were an annuity I would just invest each year's payment.

XD I hear that some game shows pay out more than what they say the prize in order to counter the tax. I don't have a source for this, I just hear it.
