Well, at least they improved the pipe slider a bit - some resistance is fine, IMHO, but it still has to be doable. At least you also now know what to work on (and I'm pretty sure you know who to ask to help with that, LOL).
I would hope that TBS would look at the feedback on the park, especially from Sasuke competitors, to see not only who to hire, but how to do it in general, if they decide to bring the park concept back for the future. I would also hope they figure out when would be the best time to have the park - before Sasuke tapings would be good, if the park as trials concept continues, but also I hope they would do a mini-park a la the Lalaport promo event before Sasuke airdates again, since I think that was a great promo event.

If they only had the park in the time before tapings, they probably wouldn't be getting many people (if at all) during the weekdays. Doing it from late July to August coincides with the general summer vacation (schools usually finish at around the third week of July here) and with the O-bon holidays (which are informal holidays with one official national holiday coming in the near future). There really isn't any other time to do it. Plus, the producers may have a general idea of when they can film the show but rarely a firm date until several months (or sometimes only a month before). Doing it after the show airs guarantees that they will at least reach their audience (who will be paying attention) and actually keeps the show on people's minds before the next show (which is, to me, the main purpose of TBS shilling ANW ratings - it doesn't affect people in Japan but it keeps SASUKE in the general conscious).
If the company that is running things is also the company that put together (as in built) the park, there aren't that many options for TBS.

True though it fills in one important point that I find both ironic and hilariously vindicating.. you have a sea of people going "oh wow you guys are still airing! I thought you cancelled". Ahahahahhahahaha ehem.. sorry.. I take sick pleasure being right about that after being laughed at.

How much time might be available in the spring between school years, and would the weather be good enough? Weather was actually my original factor in my mind that would be a problem at other times of the year, but I didn't think about the longer summer vacation for school kids (since it's still shorter that it is in America - I know at my job we are counting down the days until the kids are back in school, LOL).
The odd thing is that we know there's always a bunch of people willing to try out for Sasuke, and something like the park or something on a smaller scale like the Lalaport festival could help raise awareness of when auditions are, and therefore help provide early hype for the next tournament. (sighs) This is why I couldn't do promotions, I think, and I don't envy TBS's job to try to figure out the next wave of Sasuke pimping.

There's less than a month between the end of the school year and the beginning of the school year. It also roughly coincides with the beginning of the fiscal year. It's a very hectic time of the year for some people. It would not be a very good time to do something like the park.
And I've already pointed out, there isn't much lead time between when they get the go-ahead to tape the show and the actual taping period.

Like I said, this is why I couldn't do promotions. <sheepish grin> Ah, well, it was a thought - a bad one, mind you, but a thought, and at least the summer park overall is fulfilling its purpose, even with the obstacle issues.

Had an opportunity to get some background on the park. TBS didn't pay for this at all. The company that built it, paid for the Sasuke license (or should I say opportunity to use the Sasuke name in the park) very last minute. So that changes my perspective on the park itself. TBS didn't hire them at all so ultimately TBS is not worried about the success/failure of the park. Makes sense considering they were not involved in the planning/execution (outside of giving them obstacle ideas), pricing or even eventual sabotage of obstacles. So we needn't worry in the long run as unless this company pays to do it again (seems unlikely sincerely they are clearly in the red since they overpriced the park). The only thing TBS paid for was the LaLaport event and they plan to have something similar when it gets closer to 31. As for funny photos: TwitterTwitter I love goofy photos like this.

I saw both of those on Facebook. Very cute and is that Ryo in the shades?! Oh god that's hilarious! XD All of them wear shades and have been photographed with them. Seems the stigma of "only Yakuza wear shades" is dying with the older generation. The younger generation wear them all the time. As for who is in the photo, Hioki on the left, Ryo middle and Yuuji on right.

OMG, that second picture... (would die laughing but then I would have to clean up my corpse :^) ) Yes, let everyone worship Ryo's utter coolness... for just that one moment. I also have to give Yuuji a thumbs up for his outfit.

That's awesome, Ube! Did Shingo write "ESSO" underneath his signature? I guess his current gas station/car shop uses Esso/Mobile, too.

Spoilered for size {Misc} I only went on a Saturday. On Sunday I went to Comiket instead. I could have stopped at the park (Ryo and Hioki were there that day) but I forgot my cards (see above) and the monorail was being overwhelmed by otaku at the time. So instead of more SASUKE, have this: {Ryo? Hioki? Yuuji?}
