YOU READY FOR SOME RESULTS? Spoiler
19/2/0/0
1st stage was pretty tough, Curtain Slider took out vets like James & David. Clears include Strat, the rock climber trio, and Joe Moravsky.
2nd stage was a bloodbath. The Metal Spin's landing was the big killer. 2 made it out. Joe Moravsky & Elet Hall.
3rd stage: Nobody beat this. Joe Moravsky came closest, but he fell on the Hang Climb. Elet Hall failed the Doorknob Grasper.
Spoiler
So it's really Joe and Elet. Not too surprising...
See? I told you that the competitors who competed in St Louis were the best, f*** yeah northeast competitors!

Why do you think a winner couldn't emerge from the NE? I know a few guys here I'd put on the short list of being able to beat it all.

0 NE competitors have passed the UCH and haven't seen anyone on the Final. And the Flying Bar is kind of a crap shoot. I like a competitors from each other region more regardless of the result here in ANW6.

I don't think you will see anyone have trouble with the flying bar this year or after. Everyone has been training them, and they are actually pretty easy once you learn them.
I have a different thought than you. I think the first winner will come from NE or Denver. It will be a coin flip, depending on stage 2. And a race up stage 4. Because there are quite a few people from both who if they get past stage 2 wont have a problem with 3 or 4.
Just my opinion though.

All I have to say is prove me wrong. Oh and I'm from the NE so this isn't some kind of bias. I'm simply evaluating what I've seen.

I'm simply evaluating what I've seen. Spoiler Joe Moravsky has been probably the most consistent person since starting on this show (never failing before stage 3 in Vegas and finishing 2nd furthest and outright furthest out of everyone in the finals). I have a feeling if anyone is going to do it, it'll be him.

If someone wins from the NE it'll be someone we've never heard of before. That's my opinion of the NE. Maybe Mike Needham or Jaime Rahn can do it, but Needham hasn't beat stage 1 yet and Jaime needs to prove he can beat stage 3. Brian Arnold and the climbers, David and James McGrath, Paul K, and others are better in my opinion. I could be wrong, but we'll have to see.

What's the difference between overall and recency?

Post by jork122 on Jun 29, 2014 13:25:46 GMT -5
Recency is only ANW4 and beyond when they moved from Japan to Vegas, and only guys who are able to complete any Vegas stage have a higher score there. That way people like Levi and Travis Furlanic (and others) don't have as high a score as those who are doing well recently

This is AMAZING! Seems that we both share a love for statistics. (I liked the NBA draft stuff too!)

Not everyone who competed, but I guess you're just going by TV results aren't you? Kind of hard to go past that.
