"We're just speaking bork bork bork over here." Ah hahahaha. Oh my goodness! I may be very proud of that joke ... Not sure someone will win, but wouldn't surprise me if they make sure someone at least gets to attempt final stage/Midoriyama. I don't think the Swedish audience could handle having it dangle in front of them for all these episodes and then not see anyone attempt it. But it would be a little lame if someone managed it on the first season ...

The unstable bridge is more of challenge then it appears! Also the issues surrounding last years USA vs the world and back stage controversy about the possibility of altered results in stage 3 I think had less to do with the show wanting team Japan to lose and more with making sure they finally showed the tower in action after three regular of nobody reaching it.

It really was! But they make it look so easy in Sasuke, I keep forgetting that those guys are maybe not, you know, normal. That could be it as well, though I still find the whole thing suspicious. And I wouldn't be that surprised if they do something similar in NWSE, just so we get to see someone attempt it.

You mean the fact that they reran people to make sure someone passed it? That's established already. LOL Hell they even had trainers teaching them.. not as bad as Turkey but it happened in Sweden too. Most of the people from Sweden hadn't even heard of the show so it's not like they could train for it anyway.

Yeah, I know people here don't know about Ninja Warrior. And it's pretty obvious that they're cutting things to suit themselves better as well, but I mean, what else could one except from this channel? I hadn't heard that they were letting people do reruns, but that isn't surprising me at all. They want good TV, and everyone failing starts getting old after a while. We have seen people practice the obstacles beforehand though, like on set while waiting for their turn, so it's not like they are completely unaware about what's to come. But we knew that.

It doesn't happen on Sasuke though and that's the fundamental difference. As for not clearing... that's supposed to be part of the show. Everyone started the show as a noobie. You are supposed to find out where you are weak and get stronger for the next time.. not be given runs so it "looks good on television". What it promotes is cheating.

Yeah, I'm aware of that, and it's one of the reasons why I prefer Sasuke any day to NWSE. That and the way they make it a contest rather than a challenge. I'm not saying I think it's right they do it, just that I'm not surprised at what lengths they go to for "good television". But then again, this is based on American Ninja Warrior and not Sasuke, so one could've guessed it from the start.
Anyway, this is also why it won't surprise me if someone doesn't make it to the tower/Midoriyama/final stage next week, despite the next stage looking like it's way past anyone's skill level from what we've seen so far. Because they've hyped it so much I can't imagine they'll let it be unused. Because they think it makes for better TV.

Don't feel too bad ANW has many issues some of the big ones are results altering particularly during specials dangerous obstacles and other issues that get disscused here. Having NWSE train contestants and some re running the course to get a satisfactory number of clears doesn't seem so bad by comparison. But it does show that despit the training from the crew you still get so much fails.

Honestly, getting some training doesn't bother me too much, especially since we've seen them try out some easier versions of the obstacles. We know they do, and since people didn't really know what to expect from the course it's not like they could build their own courses and train at home. But letting people do reruns isn't really okay. It was bad enough that they let a bunch of people that didn't even clear the semi stage move on to the finals, it's worse if they also let people do it over if they didn't like what they saw. :/

IMO it cheapens all of it. No one had reruns in any of the Sasuke tournaments unless it was a technical error. Heck, whenever there is a renewal NO one knows what obstacles will be there. The point of the show is to surpass yourself battling the unknown.

Last ep is over, and not too shockingly, no one "won". Recap will be up in a couple of hours!

Yes, Alexander Mars! Failed the Ultimate Cliffhanger which was the last "stage two" obstacle. They mentioned him going to "Japanese Ninja Warrior or Sasooke" on the show and I saw an interview later, so I'd be surprised if they made that up. Say hi if you see him there.

Ah sorry from your writing it sounded as if he was still a question. And of course! That's why I asked if he knew English. LOL

Ah sorry from your writing it sounded as if he was still a question. And of course! That's why I asked if he knew English. LOL Nah, it seems confirmed! It was a bit confusing because it was first mentioned last week, and then they made it sound as if you got to go to Japan *if* you won the entire thing, but yesterday they said it was the person who got the furthest. The cash price for winning (which no one claimed) has been pushed since ep one, so it's weird this wasn't brought up until now. And I'd be very surprised if he didn't speak English. Otherwise I can teach you some key Swedish phrases.

The Floating boards are much tougher than the appear! Anyway it's great that the person that went the farthest gets to go to Sasuke 31 I hope for there sake they do well. If ninja warrior Sweden and other European ninja warriors like the one happening in the U.K. does well mabey Europe can have its own grand course like the one in Japan or Las Vegas.
