Ahhhh, that explains a lot. I was wondering about what obstacles he failed in 21 and 22. Great interview!

Excellent work Arsenette! Very insightful interview, especially interesting given the confirmation of the lack of the 30 second rule in 29's Third Stage.

Nice job arsenette! This is very informative; I learned quite a few new things from it! For example, I didn't know that Morimoto's been training since the age of seven! That is incredible dedication! I'm also very to see how much you, Jin, and Morimoto covered over the course of three hours. It's awesome that Morimoto (along with Tada and others whom you've interviewed which are involved with SASUKE) have set aside so much time to talk with fans about their stories and experiences. I hate to nitpick, but the only error I noticed was how you mentioned that he first competed at the age of 16; he first did so at 15. Other than that, everything in there which I already knew about is correct (since there was a lot of new information to me in there). As for the whole "personally knowing the All-Stars" thing: that's awesome! I don't remember many (if any) other fans mentioning such a close relationship to them. Also, having his own picture with all six of the All-Stars is epic, to say the least. As much as I would love him to share his video collection, I totally understand why he wouldn't want to do so (as with any other type of collection). Considering how long he's been searching for some of them, it's something that he does prize from all of the time and effort he put into getting it together. The mention of the Body Prop made me laugh a little, as that's the obstacle I'd like most to see back in the Third Stage. Once again, great blog!

Hey no worries with the nitpicking. I have to fix that. I'll do that later tonight. That going through 3 hours of chat + sifting through old videos (and going crazy trying to find them LOL) and putting 6 pages of text on the blog.. yeah.. I knew I was going to screw up something. LOL
The DVD question was hysterical because I was leery of asking it. It's incredibly rude to ask after he just said how much of a PITA it was to get it. It really really reminded me of the torture you guys went/go through trying to find Sasuke songs.. you keep those songs you DO know close to the vest in hope someone has something you are missing. That's the impression I had. He did giggle though when talking about the streaming. He didn't even know we had the "technology" to do it and felt sheepish that WE do it here and he doesn't. He said he used to "be like us" but over the span of 15 years it starts to wane. Now he's just a regular hardcore fan instead of an obsessive Sasuke fan. LOL
We chatted a lot that never got on the blog. Just .. "stuff" from Sasuke. It's rare to talk to someone just as passionate about old Sasuke stuff. I did have to laugh that he was terrified that I told Inui about the old obstacles (like Viking's Ultimate Plank). He really did freak out going the equivalent of "wtf are you doing to us!!" attitude. I was cackling and his voice cracked because it's HIM that has to do it. Then Jin brought up the Body Prop and he's going "stop it just stop it".. LOL

Great interview! I wish Yusuke had a Twitter or something lol I did ask him He only reads Inui's twitter (he has it favored so he can just straight read it) but he's not on Social Media. For as open as he was with the interview he's an intensely private person. Things like social media.. he's not on, or if he is.. it's not as open as Twitter or Facebook. No idea about Mixi. Doesn't seem like it from what I gathered. He seems almost scared to deal with people in another language. Excellent work Arsenette! Very insightful interview, especially interesting given the confirmation of the lack of the 30 second rule in 29's Third Stage. I was shocked about that as well. I wasn't sure how much of a controversy that was going to stir up Ahhhh, that explains a lot. I was wondering about what obstacles he failed in 21 and 22. Great interview! Yeah I was picking his brain on that one. Wish we had more photos but he didn't own a digital camera during that time (he just got one recently) so he doesn't have a lot of the "course pics" that I would normally want. Still though I'm happy to get a chance to update the community on this kind of information! I was just as surprised hearing about Tada being in 17. That was well out of radar as well.

LOL It happens to us all, but I just figured to mention it for clarification. Considering how much effort I've focused towards compiling accurate SASUKE statistics over the past several years (which is quite annoying with some "editors" on the Wiki), it's something that I just notice automatically at this point. That's a really good analogy. To be fair, I wish the Japanese music guys were more open about sharing songs publicly, but unfortunately I'm essentially forced to do the same in order to get certain songs via trading. But yeah, I can see how and why Morimoto takes such pride in his DVD collection. However, if Morimoto and/or others ever feel comfortable with sharing/uploading their recordings publicly online, it would be a very nice gesture on their parts. By the way, regarding the other "stuff" you talked about: does Morimoto know how his theme song is from the A Bug's Life OST?

I have no idea if he knows about his themesong. I can let him know. Send me an PM with it - especially if it's a link.
