Do you guys think you could last a day, month, or even a year without cable?

Think it? I live it. No TV in my dorm room, means little to no TV at all. Really though, its not too bad and there is usually plenty of stuff to do.

Between that and the fact that a lot of things you can catch online if push comes to shove.

Hell, you can stream TV online if you have to. Although having no TV extremely sucks, but it's liveable.. Now no Internet and no TV.. That's hell and I had to live a week like that...

I haven't had cable in... I don't think it's been a year. More than 6 months, might be coming up on a year at this point.

I miss most of my favorite shows and have to catch them online anyway, but no TV means I can't go in my "Nothing Box."(If you don't get it, watch Mark Gungor's Men and Woman's Brains.)

No TV in my uni halls, meaning no games consoles either. I get desperate when I'm left with no internet, though.

I've only gone without internet or cable tv for a month, but it wasn't that bad. For me, the worst part was making it past the first week. After that, I found much more productive things to do with my time instead of watching tv, and I actually decently enjoyed it. So to answer the question, I think that I could go a good amount of time without cable or internet, maybe not a year but definitely over a month.

I'm surprised, I have survived without cable for at least 3 or 4 years until we got it back. Then the cable breaks again and now it looks like I'll have to go another 3 years without it again.

I used to live in an apartment without cable OR internet. Did that for about 8 months.
It drove me nuts at first, but then I learned to live with it, and used the time to train instead.

I've lived without internet, cable for years, but hopefully I won't have to again.
