6:00 to 9:00 JST. Not really thanks to TBS mainly because the show got lost in the New Year's shuffle although it was already in the TV mags (I don't scan them for shows all the time): www.tbs.co.jp/program/tokuban/Not sure who will be on so far but defending champion Wataru Mori is going to be on hand to defend his title. And apparently he got married to some voice actress named Tomoko Kaneda last month. There's supposed to be a digested version of the previous show the day before but that's probably only for the Tokyo markets.

Saw a photo of the line-up in one of the magazines. Same female "host." Lots of the same faces (the jack-a** rapper, lower level celebs). I believe Akiyoshi Nakao will be participating. He was from the TBS drama Rookies but for people round these parts, he is best known as a celeb "trained" by Yamada for SASUKE (with predictable results). It looks like Naoki Iketani will also be participating. I guess they want someone who can actually do the Monster Box correctly.

Now that I think about it if that was Iketani in the photo, I think the fix is in and TBS doesn't want Wataru Mori to repeat.
Mori has been the Monster Box co-champion the last two shows with 18 and 20 boxes. Unless age has caught up with him, Iketani can usually do 20 boxes in his sleep with his legs tied together.
Winning two events and not totally sucking at the others (or at the very least, only sucking at one event) is generally the best way to win Sportsman/Sports Danshi shows. Mori took the Monster Box and his surprise 2nd place win at the Power Wall plus good showings in all but one of the other events gave him the win last time. Take away the Monster Box and he'd have a hard time defending his title.

Will be interesting to see the results with Naoki there! And yeah I remember Nakao jumping spidering off after Yamada inappropriately touched him

Definitely Iketani. 1st time winner and top five from last time Gaku Sano is definitely going to get a chance to regain his title judging by the fact that he made it to the Shotgun Touch. Wataru Mori gets Number 1 (and a gold star - not quite the leader's jersey of the past Sportsman No. 1 days) this time around as he is the defending champion.

So... how in the flying f*** was that scored, exactly? Same as Sportsman #1. Each event has a set number of points.
