While bored, I discovered an interesting post in G4's OT section: forums.g4tv.com/showthread.php?t=117132While following the link in that thread, I found this topic: www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=16572While reading the above link and the others like it, I came to one conclusion: I felt an incredible need to take a shower to wash off the hate and disgust I felt towards these people. Read just that one topic and discover why. Those who follow my posts know that I am a fan of George Carlin and Bill Maher, two men who regularly mock religion in all its forms. With religious people like those who post on landoverbaptist, I think religion (or at least those people who consider themselves this degree of religious) deserve to be mocked.

I am personally religous, however, the posts on that fourm are ridiculous and crazy. I can say, though, that religous people have been sterotyped into the people on landoverbaptist. I respectfully disagree with Maher and Carlin; but they, like most other people in this world, have been told the mainstream view of religious people. A view that is incorrect in many forms. I disagree with the mainstream view of everything(which is why I hate the news), unless it is something that I know to be true. (Ex. the mainstream view of the sum of 2 and 2 is four) I will say this; I don't care who you are, what you're job is, where you're from, you will get worse over time. Human beings are a disgrace to the face of this planet.
BTW, I don't trust a guy who asks "So we all agree evloution happened, right?" before coversing with someone.

No one ever accused the G4 residents on being the fast on the non-dirty linking. They go for the sex jokes before hunting for the other stuff. However, since I never made it that far into the G4 thread, I apologize for jumping to conclusions. Its just that I see way too many of these people in my everyday life. I keep hearing Pat Robertson (very big here in NC) spew his homophobic, racist bile, I listen every weekday morning to John Boy and Billy on the radio ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boy_and_Billy )who keep screaming about how Obama is a Socialist Muslim whose going to ruin America (like it isn't ruined already), and I hear people saying that Iraq deserved to be blown up because they have a different source material for their religion. And it seems like WAY too many people agree with them. It may be a parody, but it sure struck close to home. Edit: And I do feel a bit like an idiot now for not going the whole way through the G4 thread.

The site was very "Stormfront"-esque (nope, ain't linking to them) that I wouldn't have a hard time believing that it was real but that subject seemed a little over-the-top, even for them, so the first thing I did was check on who they were.
That said, such sites do exist in real life and the election of Obama has driven a lot of them (and the ultra-rightwing in general) into a frenzy like I've never seen before.
I enjoyed how the people in the G4 thread were all like "Let's raid them!" Very No Calorie Caffeine Free Diet 4-Chan Lite of them.

The site was very "Stormfront"-esque ... I stumbled across that site once by accident. It was quite literally stunning.

Okay first of all, i open the link, see the general topic its under "WHY HOMOSEXUALITY IS WRONG!!!", which to me, is complete B.S., Sexual Orientation means s***, it says who your attracted to, hell my best friend is gay, doesnt phaze me. But back tot he point, the first ad i see is: Looking for Gay Singles in your area? Now i can understand their veiws, Peter Pans is flamboyent, but big deal. Now the next one they claim to saducing kids into gay anal intercouse errr... its a bunch of kids eating peanut butter w/ bread while watching a dancing jar of peanut butter dance... incredibly stupid yes, trying to saduce kids into gay sex, NO.
This post im not sure if hes mentally insane or laughing his a** of @ this thread "Originally Posted by Mr. Jingles That's the truth; i'm sterilizing my computer monitor right now.
Do NOT use rubbing alcohol! I hear that gay scientists in San Fransisco have genetically engineered the new AIDS to become airborne when it comes into contact with rubbing alcohol!
I ALWAYS use rubber gloves before investigating homosexual threats on the internet because I don't want to get the AIDS on my hands through my keyboard or clicker.
After I'm done, I throw away the keyboard and clicker."
LMAO i burst out laughing!
So deside, i signed up as "TheAthiest666" should i blow their minds away, or keep quiet?

So deside, i signed up as "TheAthiest666" should i blow their minds away, or keep quiet? More than likely, you'd get banned. The threads are littered with people with names like that who get immediately banned or at least suspended. And besides, I completely misinterpreted the entire site. It's satirical and intentionally funny. More than likely every poster gets a real good laugh as soon as they hit "post". I was just fooled by how close to what most of the Evangelical nutjobs say the posts were. That being said, I say go for it. Pump the threads with posts saying how Satan called you to post there to spread the word of his coming and see if the Moderators give you a stern talking to on the nature of Landover Baptist.

Why don't you say something like "They say Jesus Saves, However.. Satan invests"
(I know, old joke, but funny)

Why don't you say something like "They say Jesus Saves, However.. Satan invests" (I know, old joke, but funny) You can modify that for the internet generation: Jesus saves.....and so do the Apostles when playing a game as tough as I Wanna Be the Guy.

If that's a website with real Christians, then they, not he women, should know where they are standing in this world, and realize that they are not ready to be saved.
I am personally religious (well, its a personal choice), but the way they see it is completely off. Either its a joke, or they don't know what they are doing.

The whole point of the joke is to make Satan look better. Hence why it's a joke made to scare christians...

I doubt you would have played it, it came out on MS-DOS. Spellcasting 101. Harry Potter on Hormones.

No. That's both the decline of the economy and good real estate agents... Now if someone buys that house for that price. THEN that's a decline of humanity.
