I know Shingo went through the trials but why did he get #36 while Takeda got #95 and Nagano got #100. How come Nagano and Takeda got high numbers and Shingo got a low number?

Shingo lost the "All-Star" title by being forced to retire, so he went through the trials and qualified.

Shingo lost the "All-Star" title by being forced to retire, so he went through the trials and qualified. He did NOT lose his title.. learn to read. He said he wants to live up to the name again. He says he still wants to be an All-Star but this time live up to it. Where do you keep reading that the title has been lost? NO ONE LOST THE TITLE.

Then what about Takeda and Nagano? How come they got high numbers? The way retirement works in TBS is if you go through the motions and SAY you were retiring on camera then they have to either make you wait a bit to come back (like they did with Akiyama after 17) or do something spectacular to come back. Yamada begged on camera and came up with a sob story (a few times..), Akiyama stayed away for a few tourneys and Shingo went through trials to "earn" his way back. Never in any of the times did they lose the title. Nagano didn't go through trials and it seems Takeda never showed up either (he was supposed to but there's no actual record of him being there I don't think). So because of their All-star title they kept their high numbers.

i have another question, how come in Sasuke 27, 28, and 29 Kouji Hashimoto had low numbers in the 20s and 40s? The guess for that is because 27 was the last one run by M9 and he must have pissed off someone there.. LOL Sasuke 28 the new/old crew didn't know anyone from the past 8 years.. and Sasuke 29 those who went to trials were ranked according to time it seems.

Also, Shingo might have asked for a low number. He doesn't like being in the 90s. There has been at least one other tournament (22) when he asked for, and got, a low number.
