Just heard a new line formed tonight with people who hadn't been waiting there since Wednesday.... Hope the ones who were there the longest still run the course. What time did people start lining up for the walk on line? (people waiting since Wednesday?) I plan to try and walk on in Denver, and I am trying to determine the best time to arrive and get a shot at running the course.

Oh, something I just remembered, does anyone find it awkward as f*** how on the monitor they were showing a bit of the Dallas recap eps on the monitor during the "lunch" break? I mean sure it featured some competitors who ran in baltimore (either due to region switching or in one case scheduling) but couldn't they have shown the NE ep from Miami? lol I didn't find it awkward at all. My Dallas run was one of the ones featured on the monitor during the break, literally just minutes after I had my Baltimore run ;-) Course wetness was a non-issue in Baltimore fortunately. It was pretty f***ing cold later at night though, near freezing. Yeah I figured you'd be happy about that. The only times showing the Dallas eps wasn't awkward was when they showed you and when they showed Andrew Karsen, and that's because both of you ran in Baltimore.

People lining up since Wednesday for walk ons but not supposed to? I plan on trying to walk on in Denver, how long ahead of time should I plan on camping out? I lined up Wednesday night and got Walk-on spot #22 in Baltimore. They only ended up running 6 because of the rain delay. By the time it gets to Denver I wouldn't be surprised if you needed to be there sometime Tuesday.

Question about a ruling on something... (contains vague info) I saw a few people step off the board of the Downhill Jump and the guy with the red flag of failure (I assume judge) let them continue, what was up with that? From what I heard touching the ramp was an auto DQ? Was there some kind of judging error?

I didn't see him there, kind of surprised he wasn't even present (at least that I saw, I didn't see him either day on the sidelines and he didn't run)

From what I heard touching the ramp was an auto DQ? Was there some kind of judging error? Yes if you stepped off the downhill jump it was an automatic DQ. This year they let the competitors keep going all the way to the end though before telling them they were eliminated. One thing we were all confused about was the "random asian" who supposedly posted the top time in semis seemed to step off the downhill jump during his first run but was not DQd. It will be interesting to see how they edit that one. Maybe they'll take his semi-final downhill jump and edit it into his first run.

not best time but first full clear. Interesting about the finish before dq thing lol As for how they show it, crowd shot, look how they covered missing time during brent's s2 run in anw4

By the way, sorry about posting about Venice and thanks for the clarification Rider.

So sad that Baltimore is done, wish we got to do it all over again this weekend! But I guess it is Miami's turn for fun ;-)

Well it would be cool to see the competitor field from Baltimore try again (aside from those who already have spots, I don't want them losing those) with the knowledge they have after the fact. I don't want to see the Circle Cross slaughtering everyone... WTF was up with that... It seemed simple enough but barely anyone figured out the right technique. (No offense to anyone among us who went out there)

LOL. I feel you. I was a walkon in ANW4, and drove my family of 5 for 3 days to get there, so I know that experience well. I always say "Walkons 4 Life!" to the guys and gals I know who have gone that route at one point, because it is a special and distressful thing to attempt, and only others who have experienced that at some point can understand what it feels like! And even though I got an invite this year, I'll never forget the pain and joy rollercoaster of being a walkon.

Hmmmm...So did anyone see Chris W? Yes, I met up with him friday before competitors were let in (This was before the rain even started) and I saw him run the course on Saturday. I'm sure someone could tell you what happened in his run but I'm not allowed to, since I was a tester I'm under the same NDA as competitors. (honestly I'm not sure I should even be saying I was a tester but it was already known due to the mention of others here)
