Further news, and I think Philip's going to have an anxiety attack that I'm announcing this.
Proto SASUKE 5 (which, I did not take this week off so it will be a while) will be the "Season Finale" of Proto SASUKE. After the break, Proto SASUKE 6 will be a sort of "reset". Aside from the new program, it will be modeled around SASUKE 29's course. This way, I can incorporate some of the new and modified obstacles from that tournament. It will still feature some of your Proto SASUKE favorites so stay tuned.
I anticipate the release of Proto SASUKE 6 sometime in September. I'm hoping to incorporate some new features to the broadcast as well.

All these bibs on the forum got me thinking, "What if we did a special Sasuke Maniac Forums tournament?"
So, we're doing a special Sasuke Maniac Forums tournament!
HERE'S THE DEAL:
1. All SMF members are eligible to sign up - NO TRIALS! Everyone gets in! I'll let you know what your number is. I'll make sure there's a template so everyone is color coded. If you have a special request for a number, I'll try to honor it (between 1-90, first come first serve) - in fact, you may win a prize if you pick the Mystery Number!
2. The course for the tournament will be communally voted on. We'll worry about that as soon as Proto SASUKE 5 is released (probably this weekend). We'll also be throwing in some fan favorite competitors to compete alongside the SMF team.
3. Proto SASUKE Qualifying: This is probably my favorite part. I will be awarding LOTS of spots in upcoming Proto SASUKE tournaments. It goes as such (these are NOT overlapping): 1st Stage Clear - Proto SASUKE 6 Fastest 1st Stage Clear - Proto SASUKE 6, 7 2nd Stage Clear - Proto SASUKE 6, 7, 8 Fastest 2nd Stage Clear - Proto SASUKE 6, 7, 8, 9 3rd Stage Clear - Proto SASUKE 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Kanzenseiha - LIFETIME PASS! **I have the right to change the above if I decide to change the format of the tournament.
That's right, if you manage to beat the whole course, you will be invited to EVERY Proto SASUKE tournament that there ever will be. In addition, there will be some extra qualifying spots: Selecting the mystery # to wear (it's random, I promise) - +1 Tournament Clearing with double digit ending time (ex. 3.66, 1.77, 4.00 but not 2.58) - +1 tournament Last SMF member standing - +1 Tournament Last man standing of all 100 - +2 Tournaments Random draw of 1st Stage fails - +1 Tournament
4. Broadcast: The results will be announced in a LIVE chatroom event, but there will be an actual text broadcast several days later. Only the SMF contestants will be typed out; everyone else will be listed at the end of each stage.
5. Release Date: Likely sometime in August. This is not expected to delay the release of Proto SASUKE v0.5.
I will take sign-ups literally up until the final broadcast. Go ahead, sign up!!!

I haven't released Proto SASUKE yet. I run the simulation on my computer. (Which, incidentally, is an Apple.)
There will eventually be a demo of the Beta version but there's nothing I've released just yet.
