How long have you been watching Sasuke?

I started watching it in either the summer or fall of 2007. I'm pretty sure that the first episodes I saw were of Sasuke 8, and I remember that Sasuke 19 was still new to G4 around the same time or slightly later.

First SASUKE I saw was the G4 premiere of 19. It gave me a bad impression on the series, but I got over it when seeing the 18 that came before it.

I first saw stage 1 of sasuke 13 or 14 on Virgin 1, the first UK channel to air Ninja warrior.

Must've been around February 2010. I became an instant fan.

I don't know if this counts or not, but I first watched SASUKE before G4 picked up (or before knowing about G4 for that matter :. I watched the show when I was in Japan in winter of 2005, when I was channel surfing and watched it for first time. I saw the scene during the daylight where someone passed 1st Stage (I think it was Nagasawa). After watching til the end, I got hooked up and fascinated how wacky and challenging SASUKE really is. At the time I didn't know the name of the show, despite the SASUKE logo was everywhere (yeah I had bad memory :. For a while I've been searching years for name of the show by typing "japanese game show" on Google, and couldn't find it. I finally managed to watch SASUKE on YouTube in 2006, a year of Nagano victory and moved on.

My story is similar to the last poster.

There was a special about shows from around the world on the E! network back in 2000 or 2001, and one of the shows that they featured was something they called "Muscle Ranking." The clips that they showed were of, from what I would later learn, Katsumi Yamada from SASUKE 6, including his fall off the Stage 3 finish mat.

I kept searching for years for more information about the show "Muscle Ranking," but never got anywhere.

It wasn't until I heard about this show "Ninja Warrior," and did some research, that I realized that the footage from "Muscle Ranking" was from SASUKE/"Ninja Warrior."

The footage from that E! special left an indelible impression on me because it was completely unlike any of the new US "reality" shows on TV at the time, like "Survivor."

So even though I haven't been watching the show for that long, I consider myself to have been a fan of the show for the past 11 years or so.

I've been watching since the original titlecard[/img] and the black obstacle bar[/img] so it had to be 2006-ish. It was a Saturday, I was alone in the house, and I was browsing through the guide and I randomly saw the name "Ninja Warrior". I noticed it was on G4, which I had backed away from after they had (to me) ruined its channel with the TechTV merger (effectively killing that network too), but a name like that interested me enough so I went to the channel and I was hooked since. I forgot the tournament that was on, but I know it was a marathon so I got to see one full (in the NW sense) and maybe one more. I remember seeing the Climbing Bars/Bridge of Destiny so it was between 14 and 15 (possibly 16).

2006. I was only 10 at the time, but now I'm almost 16. Time has gone by fast.

My brother introduced me to the series in 2006. We had just got Comcast cable. I was just 12 back then. I'm 18 now, even though I think my profile on here says I'm like 23, haha. Don't know how that happened.

2009 was the very first time I watched Ninja Warrior on G4, and I had no plans of training for it until September 2011.
