Hmmm, That's a really tough one.
I'd have to say I see Sasuke taking a hiatus, but then returning eventually. And then for ANW, I think it will go on for a few more years, take a hiatus, and then return to the old ways, and send people to Japan to compete, when Sasuke returns.

Depends honestly how ANW is perceived here (ratingswise without Sasuke) so right now that's a big question mark. As for Sasuke.. I'm cautiously hopeful in at least one more tourney.. I hope there's more

I'm hoping for a hiatus for SASUKE and an eventual 28, but I see ANW being here to stay. It's not SASUKE, but it's a decent spin-off and G4 and NBC seem to love it (at least G4 does).
If TBS is designing the course then that pretty much stops G4 from ruining the course itself and since G4 won't have to trick the audience into thinking there are no Japanese they can focus on actually showing runs.
If G4 runs it well I could see ANW being a pretty good yearly special.

I'm hoping 28 comes next year and M9has spent the year creating a entire new monster of a course what would even sap the life out of those uncli beasts lol.

I'm pretty sure most of the people who worked at M9 are probably looking for or have other jobs right now.

Have you not been following the news at all, they've gone bankrupt and had to get rid of their properties, rumor is TBS has full control over Sasuke, that doesn't mean they're going to do anything with it, Hell... They're taking the course to Vegas for ANW4...

Honestly, I think that Sasuke will return in mid-2013, and it will continue for a lot longer than people expect. It'll never be tied with ANW again, but there will probably be 2-4 top Americans every tournament (Like Levi, Brian, and Rich in Sasuke 25).

Wait what new company? Was there some news I missed? You don't ever read when someone posts something.. this is what you get for skimming Besides this is all rumor atm so don't worry about it.

Unless you're talking about the one about M9 staff going back to TBS which I thought we figured out was fake or unlikely there must have been some news I missed...

... /sigh.. last time I say it. The rumor is that another company was formed housing the vast majority of M9 employees (directors, producers, etc. all the ones that created the show - though no word on Higuchi) with TBS with the sole purpose of continuing Sasuke. It's a stand alone company in Japan (not USA since the thought was that G4 bought it) that is reforming and formulating a plan as to how to proceed. The new head is someone who was already part of M9 and has produced the last few Sasuke meaning that the show itself would not change format or feel. The transition is expected to take time because of the bankruptcy proceedings that are ongoing with M9 (liquidating assets, etc. etc.). TBS was always part owner (since they still hold the rights to the broadcast which aired in their station) and ultimately we are supposed to hear something at some point about a Sasuke 28. Every time I asked if there was going to be one I was assured yes it's coming but not for a long time since this process of reforming and bankruptcy takes time. That.. is the rumor. All links to tweets and whatnot that said it have been deleted because every single time anyone questioned the "rumor" they'd badger this person with the exact questions over and over. So no more links to the tweets. They are gone.

I honestly can't see Sasuke going on much longer without the main stars of the show (the All-Stars) doing well and/or competing together on a consistent basis. Even though there's so many other competitors and possible concepts to explore (such as new obstacle ideas), the All-Stars are so iconic of the show that them not being highlighted in detail anymore would likely be a major turn-off to viewing the show for most people.

I can see SASUKE 28, probably in fall (2012) or spring of next year (2013). Even if there is SASUKE in future (under new company; not M9), I don't see it's going to last very long, judging from this article: modernmarketingjapan.blogspot.com/2010/08/marketing-japan-why-digital-tv.htmlRemember TBS co-own the broadcast, and if TBS dies, then SASUKE is over.... for good unfortunately. It's not like its going to be show on other network. ANW however, is a different story, since it's a spin-off. If NBC rating of ANW4 will be bad as last time, then future ANW is going to shown only in G4 (like ANW1 and 2). ANW4 may be the "last" chance to be shown on NBC. Since, they lost obscene amount of money last time, I don't think NBC could afford losing money from show that can't get high rating.

Even if the airing of ANW does poorly and it gets forced back to G4, I don't see it ending any time soon. This was by far the biggest ANW to date and there were hundreds of people watching from the sidelines, the exception being in Miami when the taping ran till like 4 AM and the people with real lives had to leave.
