Simple question: how differently do you think Shin-Sasuke would have went if Stage 3 kept the Body Prop? I could've honestly seen some major differences had it stayed from the previous era as the 2nd obstacle or if it was modified to be made tougher: 18: little difference (if any) since none of the 3 had failed it before 19: it would've gathered dust while everyone failed the first 2 stages 20: Levi probably would've cleared it and still failed at the jump on the SCH 21: Miyazaki would've been its first victim in the era; Takeda and Nagano most likely would clear it (my gut tells me though that Takeda would've ended up failing at the SCH instead of at Hang Climbing) 22: 1 or 2 (maybe Kanno and Yuuji) of the 4 would fail there; still no Final Stage 23: all 6 who reached it would've cleared; all but Levi clear the SCH; Takeda and Kanno would've failed the climb up the board of the Spider Flip; Okuyama and Takahashi still fail their respective jumps on the Spider Flip and Gliding Ring; Nagano is the first to attempt Shin-Sasuke's Final Stage and achieves his 2nd kanzenseiha (the 45-second time limit would've remained in place) 24: start of new era

I don't get what you put down for 24, how do you think the body prop would've changed that tourney? Also 22? No way! Yuuji is the f******* man, he easily beat 22's third stage, body prop wouldn't make much difference.

This all implies that everything else follows the same path. Which it wouldn't

Yuuji is the f******* man, he easily beat 22's third stage, body prop wouldn't make much difference. Because Nagano would've won in 23 since the time limit for the Final Stage was bound to still be 45 seconds. Therefore, there would've been another course renewal for 24. Sorry for not clarifying that. And to be honest, I could see Yuuji slipping on the Body Prop the first time he'd try it. After all, IIRC we've never even seen him or any of the other Trials guys training on it.

But if they kept it they might have trained for it. This is so out of context that it's almost pointless.

Yuuji only "fails" if he makes a lot of money betting against himself.

Nagano was robbed so many times in Shin sasuke it was laughable 23 he should have won easily but he was too tired from the extra stage 1 run etc slowed him down on the rope along with the time change in the final at literally the last moment.
I like Yuuji but Nagano he is not!
Body prop in stage 3 hmmmm would have no effect on those 2 however other people could certainly have not got as far as they did had it been there.

^ 1) I may be wrong here, but I highly doubt the extra Stage 1 run slowed him down. It looked like he climbed the ladder slowly.
2) The time change was needed. He just went too slowly. It happens.
I agree with you on the last sentence, though

I agree with you on the last sentence, though SRW is right and wrong is a sense. Simply running stage 1 again isn't what made him fail, but I'd wager the stress of him having to repeat it sapped a lot of his energy. Stress can really tire you out and work against you. In track the days I was really stressed I always seemed to do the worst because all of my energy just went away before I competed. Losing on stage 1 and having to do it again I'm sure was horrible for his nerves.
