I definately found the Sasuke 17 end song 1st.

As for the songs "Akatsuki" and "Kurenai". I'm assuming they are on the Naruto Soundtrack, and NOT Nagano's theme.

Hey everyone. This is my first post on this forum, I was an occasional poster on the G4 forum.

I have a couple things to add here that might be helpful in finding stuff.

1: The song played before Yukio Iketani's run in Sasuke 20 is in an ESPN commercial for their remake of The Greatest Game Ever Played.

2: I heard a song from Sasuke on NFL Live, it was the song played when showing the faces of those who cleared stage 1 when moving to stage 2.

3: I heard another Sasuke song on an NFL Presents show, however I dont know what it is, I could possibly tell you if I heard it again since I've seen so many of the TBS videos now.

Do you think that many of the other songs, including possibly Nagano's theme are an ESPN background theme? I'll make sure to keep my ears open and post any new info.

Other question, someone posted on here they thought Nagano's theme may be from a Final Fantasy game, did anyone ever follow up on this? I can check nearly every song on FF farily quickly if no one has yet.

Thanks for the heads up. NFL Presents..is that one of the NFL Films shows? NFL Films does most of their music in-house and has produced CDs which would make it easier to acquire for both us and TBS. The way the rights for music in Japan is handled is much different from in the states so they can have a fair run at pretty much anything to use for background music. Anyway, if it is NFL Films doing the music, it might be on these cds:

I haven't checked the Final Fantasy soundtracks so you might want to check. Best to start with the games made prior to 2003 or so.

I don't think there's anything from the Final Fantasy games. The earliest one with good enough sound quality is 7, and I basically know the soundtracks from 7 to 10 by heart.

The 3rd song I mentioned was played in Sasuke 21 at 1:12:14 when they are showing a few of the last 10 to go. Starting with Matsunaga and followed by Wakky, Yamada, Takeda, Miyazaki, Nagano.
It was definately on ESPN during some football film.

Heres a link to all the songs on the CD lostinube mentioned. I checked them all, however nothing jumped out at me (ie. Nagano's them is not there), however there were quite a few, especially the ones by Hedden that might have been in Sasuke at some point. I thought I heard Bunpei's theme as #128, but I dont think its it afterall, but perhaps an expert could confirm that.

Theme for Sasuke Navi when they introduced the All-Stars was from R.O.D. (the OVA not the TV series).. I wrote it in the thread I think.. I have to go back and check.

I applaud the staff's music tastes. (Except for the Lyrical Nanoha part. That's just kinda creepy.)

I guess the OP would've been really awkward for that sort of scene (should've used it for airport scenes or the Man on the Street part)

probably around sasuke 6~9. i know for a fact that nagano's music played in 9th.

Actually.. Sasuke 9 seems to be the year of the theme songs.. I haven't checked all of them but I checked part of 8 and it was pretty quiet.. like a G4 episode.. Kinda make sense.. that was the tournament without Kane Kosugi (and the last for Shane) and I think that is when they went all out trying to establish the All-Stars.

I just checked 8 and Yamada and Yamamoto had their themes. I think Akiyama's might have been different, but I would have to check one of the later competitions.

I also found a possible gold mine to search for themes. Unfortunately, torrents are not behaving and I haven't been able to get into them yet, but i will keep trying and let you all know if I find anything.

While I'm thinking of this.. I was thinking that they have a habit of tying a song to their persona.. so Nagano's is probably some mariner song or a movie about captains or boats or the ocean... that's my only guess.. it's pure speculation.
