1: You can't post video in the main forums 2: Just being a .mkv doesn't make something subbed, a .mkv is a file format, it's just one that has the ability to have subs embedded into it, that doesn't automatically mean it's a subbed video, hell, someone could have a hardsubbed .mkv but that doesn't mean anything, I was just saying a .mkv can have the raw and the softsub in one file And also I think the 27 we have has commercials, Personally I'd like a commercial free for this project

the Sasuke 27 in the link I provided isn't commercial free but if its too hard to edit them out while subbing I already have a commercial free 27
personally I feel the people who are doing the subs would edit it better when it comes to the parts that overlap between commercials

Well that would be the job of the encoder, I'm a QCer, Timer and one time Editor, but I suppose if commercials need to be cut it's not exactly a difficult job, just time consuming. As for cutting that might depend, would you guys prefer to have the announcing and then going back to hear just the commentary? (I mean in the case of the Narrator, not the sponsors thing, or do you want those? ) But seriously blind what tournament is she doing first? As someone who's going to be doing most of the work that isn't translation I have the right to know

You're not biased or anything are you? But yeah, he might be right though blind, might be a good idea to get her to do 27 first, it's the newest one and we want people to learn what they're saying before G4 contaminates it

What about the foreign competitors like Li En Zhi or Yeo Hong-chul who speak in their native languages (that aren't English)?

The Japanese (And JET since it's the same footage) broadcasts give subtitles in Japanese for foreign competitors (Even english speakers but that does us no good since we speak english), If she's able to read Japanese she should be able to manage. Example from 26 (Since clearly I can't post 27 in General Sasuke)

What does "LM" mean?
And do you happen to know what that sponsor message is every time they show those?

And do you happen to know what that sponsor message is every time they show those? You mean the one that's pretty much "This program is brought to you by the following sponsors" (which I think actually is the translation too)

That's the one.
I also noticed that when they do one-on-one interviews, they sometimes subtitle their speech as well. That should help a lot.

No, like when they interviewed Nagano before his run in 27.

I have no clue what the progress is on translation... in fact I want to know myself... But as a test of how it'd look I decided to do a little demo (even if most lines are untranslated), it's posted you know where. It is a 27 spoiler though so it's with those EDIT: For the record, no more comments on the lack of translation, this was enough
