I don't think you can truely say. It was different, both had diferent aspects. I think this one was not harder, but more tricky

Easier to hold on, harder to move.

I'd say easier. Have you guys forgotten how many people it destroyed last time? It still took out a lot, but it was obstacle 2 instead of 3, and it didn't take out NEARLY as much.
Just think.
Shingo, Shinya, Kanno, Kenji, Evan dollard. So much talent eaten up by it last tournament

I think that was just because it was new. The Rolling Log took out Shingo in his prime

That obviously does factor in, but just look at it.
The difference is the feet holds. As soon as I saw the new RE I instantly said to myself "Yeah, I'd rather do that version". I still stand by that.

I agree. It was much easier to keep your feet in the Fail Snail than last time. I think if you started slow on the snail or hesitated all the force keeping you on the snail would stop and drop you into the water.

I think with this version, if you had the right technique and enough strength, you wouldn't fail it.
With the previous version, you could do it perfectly and your foot could slip.
I think they should have made the cubbies a little deeper, however.

In the chatroom, Cat admitted he knew the technique but for whatever reason didn't follow it, and it cost him
