Did anyone catch this show on FOX? It's the American version of Brain Wall (aka Human Tetris). I was only able to catch the first few minutes, but it looked alright. Besides the typical cheesy contestants, the show seemed alright. The concept and some of the graphics/sounds from the original version are still there, although I don't know how long this show will last, especially since the original program is a component of a bigger show. But for now, it seemed alright, good for laughs.

I walked in on my parents watching the end
It was cool that they at least use the original sounds
Pretty funny

From wiki: Hole in the Wall is a game show airing on the Fox television network in the United States starting September 11, 2008. Fox aired previews on September 7 and September 9.
So, I guess I saw a preview. It was on at 9 PM EST today.

So I missed it, that sucks.
And is it really such a good idea premiering a show on September 11th?

The thing is, it completely the poopsite of what the 11th really means, so that's a bonus, if you want to get it off your mind (somewhat). And I like HITW. Of course, you can't beat Brain Wall. "IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME!!!"

I just caught the last part of the first episode and it looks like the two sumo guys from Attack of the Show were on and when they said who they were I wasn't seeing things. And I'm watching the second episode and it doesn't look too different from the japanese one.

Watch it on yotube.
Honest opinion?
Sucked Majorly.
They completely took out the awesomeness of the original version, its' all about the 25,000 dollars in this one, and what's up with the line
"Get ready to face... THE HOLE!" Like holy crap.
lol

I watched the end of the show, and it seems like it's all about the money, which annoys me about many American shows. So, I didn't like it at all. I may try one last time next week though to see if it gets any better in my eyes.

Well I agree. But the focus of the show is different. In the US version, it's all about the money and the competition. But in the original, weren't most of the competitors comedians? That means most of the competitors were focused on making a wipeout so that they could make a name for themselves.
It's such a different attitude between the two shows, thus the focus of the two shows are different.

Well either way its just to get something for you, I mean you either get money directly or publicity in the japanese, so its not all that different.

You know what I wonder?
Some of the shapes you can get through them without doing what the pictureshows.
Like if there was a picture with you standing side way and one leg in the air in front of you... couldn't you just stand sideway with both feet in the same place?
You wouldn't have to put your leg up.
The rules say you have to fit through the hole, it doesn't say you have to do what the picture does.

I was thinking the same thing, From what I can tell the US rules are slightly more strict then on Brain Wall.

Truely a dispointment in my eyes, casting sumko wrestlers was kinda stupid, cosidering that it could be hard for them to fit throught the hole, even thoug they won, the americanized versions always try to make stuff funny, will the japanese try to make it tough and funny
