Will there be a new thread made for Boot Camp? Barely anyone on this as it is.. LOL The last time on the 4th episode we were already on page 15'ish LOL So up to you guys. I think it's a waste since it's obvious no one is talking about the show. Unfortunately, I have not participated in this thread (or most of the Sasuke 27 subforum) due to the fact that I don't want to encounter spoilers. I understand that many people can't/won't watch ANW and therefore don't care if they know the results ahead of time. Personally, I have no idea who will make it to Japan so I've steared clear of this thread for the most part. I think most people are either avoiding this thread or don't care because they already know.

Also, can we try to make it REALLLLY organized so the actual results of the top 10 on SASUKE aren't spoiled by simply looking at topic titles? like maybe temporarily make a sub-forum on the SASUKE 27 forum so that all discussion of their results CAN go without being spoiled to those who choose not to know them until the TBS broadcast? I feel like sometime next week I'm going to be surfing the forum for more news and then I'll accidentally scan my eyes over a part of the screen that says "will anyone else kanzenseiha?", clearly having a major result spoiled. It's like DVRing a major sports game when you accidentally find out the result by walking past a newspaper somewhere on the street.

If you're clicking on the Sasuke 27 forum, you're bound to get spoiled. If you don't want to be spoiled, don't even enter the topic. It's that simple.

It's just that people sometimes post topics like "could so and so have done better? (SPOILERS)" but that already spoils something. I only really care about topic titles, because yes of course we enter topics at our own risk.

Generally when it's tournament time mods lock the ability to post new topics in forums.. it's only been done once before and personally I thought it worked. Kept people from breaking the rules. It's been rules for a while now to not post new topics with clear spoilers but inevitably you get some new person who skims through the rules and starts with "wow great stage 3 (spoilers)" and the rest of us just /facepalm. Personally I can care less about spoilers but others are doing their best to keep spoiler free. It's difficult though since everyone gets excited and feels the need to write some random post about absolutely nothing while in the process causing problems. Heck.. even now.. how many polls do we have that should all go under one header like "predictions/wishes"? My eyes just twitch when I see them.. LOL
Monday the 22nd is going to be a nightmare. With the TBS broadcast seemingly a month or 2 away (we still don't know) there's a lot of people who prefer to ignore the isolated results preferring to watch the tournament as a whole to get a feel for the ENTIRE broadcast.. not how Comcast decides to skew things. That said.. there will be a lot of people who will feel the need to freak out and produce more threads that really should only be in one. Hopefully things will keep in check but be prepared to get spoiled.. it's just the nature of things .. especially when there's a huge gap in time between broadcasts.

My current prediction will be like 15 threads at least seeing as the Finals will be on a network EVERYONE gets DirecTV or otherwise, cable or no cable.

My current prediction will be like 15 threads at least seeing as the Finals will be on a network EVERYONE gets DirecTV or otherwise, cable or no cable. Honestly that's my fear. It's going to be a long couple months until that TBS broadcast I'm all for doing a new thread ban in the forums like last time to be instituted the day of the ANW3 Sasuke runs. Won't keep people from posting but will stop the new threads from popping up. Easier to maintain information within the threads themselves. I expect a huge influx of new people posting starting next week.

It'll be a miracle if little reaction is made from this. The schedule certainly has enough shows for people to watch. But for the sake of ratings, last thing we need is for ANW to not even decent halfway decent ratings on NBC.

You enter a spoiler forum at your own risk. Don't like it? Don't enter. We put a notice of spoilers in the titles and tend to use spoiler tags. I don't really know what more we can do thats not ridiculous. I know I'm new here so I dont want to step on any toes, but I think that your "advice" is a little silly and counterproductive to keeping this community going. I'm sure there's many people who want to TALK about Sasuke 27 to help pass the time until the tournament, and it would suck that they can't enter the only forum they're allowed to talk in unless they want to see spoilers. It's just a ridiculous either/or choice they have to make. I come here because I don't know ANYONE in real life who likes Sasuke. This is my inlet/outlet. So according to your "solution," either I need to just not talk about it to the only people in the world I can talk to, or I need to be okay with major things being spoiled. See how s***ty that is? Not to mention that I'm sure things would slow down hugely if everyone who was afraid of spoilers was forced to go on hiatus for the next two months.

Not to mention that I'm sure things would slow down hugely if everyone who was afraid of spoilers was forced to go on hiatus for the next two months. Ooh man you are going to step on a couple toes with that post lol. But its not like the only threads we have are spoiler threads. Threads do get started where spoilers aren't allowed and some where everything that could possibly be a spoiler gets placed in spoiler tags. Its not like you absolutely need to get spoiled in order to participate in these forums. There are many here (like me) who wish not to see certain things (like the ANW3 final results) so we post in non-spoiler threads. It would be rediculous if there was no way to post on here without getting spoiled. What the rest of them were saying was just that many people don't follow the rules about spoilers. People often: 1. Start threads whose names have spoilers in them. Ex: "Nagano's stage 3 run discussion" 2. Dont use spoiler tags when they should within the threads not marked with *spoiler* 3. Enter a thread marked with *spoiler* or open a spoiler tag fully aware that they could get spoiled, end up getting spoiled, then end up complaining about it.

Yea, that tends to happen, everyone should consult the SASUKE 27 Ground Rules. I and the other mods will check here as often as possible, but please if you see a post that breaks the rules, please use the "report to mod" function on the bottom right of the flagged post. Hopefully we don't have an incident, but there's always going to be one person

Maybe I should flesh it out a bit or elaborate more... Having a title of Nagano's run *spoilers* clearly has spoilers. Thats what you'll see here. But IMO starting a subforum just for ANW is really rediculous. What i'm saying is, its obvious when there are spoilers in a thread or post. We use spoiles tags in the post as such and put a notice of spoilers in the topic. All im saying is, its a spoiler forum, if u dont like the chance of seeing spoilers, then dont come in. But if your smart about it, you wont get spoiled. There is NO need for an ANW subforum

There is NO need for an ANW subforum Agreed. It should all fit in one thread which will be placed in a couple of days since the airing isn't until next week anyway. ALL ANW Sasuke results should go on that thread and if anyone wants to talk about the ANW prelims-Boot there is a thread for that already. Due diligence though has to be taken given the huge gap between the ANW Sasuke runs and the TBS broadcast. It's new territory as the previous one in December was only off by a couple of weeks. This has the potential of being a couple of months.

If everyone keeps everything ANW including the 10 American Sasuke runs on NBC to this thread alone, everything should be fine.
What I don't agree with is allowing info such as who's in the top 10 to be posted ahead of time. This thread was dead on arrival for the fact that the top 10 was already known. It ends up alienating people who are excited about and want to discuss the current episodes.
However, once something airs on tv, I believe it should be allowed to be discussed, without spoilers tags, in the thread it belongs in. Of course, this is just my opinion. I'm ok with how things are done now, but it does result in me largely avoiding the Sasuke 27 board.

Honestly, I've already forgotten who the top 10 were, with only a few exceptions. *spoiler includes top 10 info, click at your own risk.* I remember that Drew makes it, because he messed up his knee in a non-Sasuke incident, and I remember seeing David Campbell, Travis F., and Flip in a picture taken in Japan, but everyone else is a total blur to me.

^This is what I'm talking about. I'm not mad at any one person specifically, but why is it so important to share with everyone the top ten? This is info that absolutely no one is really supposed to know and was only figured out through deep searching and hyperanalyzation of photos on the web. Such blatant top secret info should only be shared through PM IMHO. And honestly, I'm a bit worried about the info that's already been leaked. Aren't we putting people at risk by knowing the results and posting them on a forum that anyone can access? Why should people who actually like being surprised have to avoid the Sasuke 27 forum entirely?
