I assume they did the same format as last time and you had to draw the tags out of a bag to get the teams I think it was snake draft. I can see how the draft would have went too.

Look at all of the plain, boring, logo-less shirts everyone is wearing. Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but if you aren't, I don't think they are allowed to wear logos. That's why I said it...

Look at all of the plain, boring, logo-less shirts everyone is wearing. It's even worse with the fact that 99% of the people trying out are pasty white people with short hair.

I'd guess they aren't allowed to wear non-sponsor logos. If you look close, the front of the shirt has a small logo, but I haven't gone back to see which logo it is. I think it was on Strat's closeup. ETA: they'll probably be pimping K-Swiss gear before long...

One thing I've been thinking about lately is the ramifications of NBC showing the finals of ANW on primetime TV. What I mean is, I'm worried that because it's on a more mainstream channel, the finals won't have the exciting Japanese commentary with subtitles, and will opt instead for the two guys who call the action for the qualifying runs... *shudder*.

Oh that would be horrible. I hate those two guys. They do such a bad job, I think they should probably be fired from whatever their real jobs are.

As much as I like Matt Iseman and Jimmy Smith (I'm a huge MMA buff) I could do without their commentary. The fact that they wouldn't address the wetness of the Quad Steps on the ANW course and chocked it up to "guys looking past it" really disappointed me this time around.

In that same token, I was happy that they didn't pretend it didn't exist. I'm at least happy they addressed the problem.

Returning to an earlier comment in this thread, there's been a number of advertisements for ANW on VH1... seems weird to see it advertised during Celebrity Rehab.

You also have to take note that G4 is no longer shown on direct tv. For ANW2, it was.

They were dropped in Nov, 2010 and this aired in December well past the Direct TV thing. So it's still identical.. in fact more homes have Comcast now than back in December thanks to the NBC expansion and affiliates picking up G4.

I'm guessing Boot Camp in 4 parts, 1 eliminated in first three, last 2 people. Then the finals Monday. That'll make 8 parts + 27 Finale.

Makes sense. Remember also they will have a 1 hour special on G4 starting on Monday, August 22nd at 8pm immediately before the 9pm NBC broadcast. So those with both channels will have to quickly change channels at the top of the hour since G4 finishes right at the 8:59:59 mark.. Going to be a pain for those recording both.

I know this is a little late but I just wanted to let people know that the James McGrath guy was the one who knocked out Patrick Cusic (he also mistook him for Tre)

I assume G4 will eventually air the NBC broadcast sometime after along with reruns of the special. Pretty much everyone in the US will be able to see the NBC broadcast since it's a local channel. Fortunately, my DVR can record two channels at once.
