As of right now, 20 of the top 30 are listed.

Also worth noting that anyone who beats James McGrath's time will guaranteed place in Top 30.

Not necessarily true..... He might show up next episode. Chris Wilczewski cleared on day 1 before Chris C. did so it doesn't mean they won't show or fast forward Chris C's run in the next episode.

Laurer was 31 according to FB. If that's true then James just squeaked in!

In case people don't notice Arsenette's post in the non-discussion thread. Very good interview NBC had with Brian Orosco: (Questions are in yellow, Brian's answers are normal text with the exception of the statement in orange. Highlighted that because I thought it was funny.) That 45 seconds turns into infinity, very true.

Comparing Sasuke to potato chips, best analogy I've seen for the show lol. I love how they don't really hype ANW per se, they hype Sasuke/Ninja Warrior itself and even talk about how the aspect of the show would change if we have an "American" Sasuke so to speak. We all know Brian understands the show, but it's a relief to see the interviewer pick up on things as opposed to one who goes in blind and looks foolish asking silly questions.

P.S. Might want to put that entire article on spoiler tag.. it's friggin' huge.. Well since there's barely any discussion on Parts 1 and 2 I'll add this for 3 and 4 here: Schedule for ANW3 on G4: www.g4tv.com/schedule/index.html?datetime=08/07/2011%2018:00%20PMSunday, August 7, 2011 on G4 9:00 PM American Ninja Warrior - Season 3 (Part 3) - The Qualifying Round from Venice Beach, CA concludes 10:00 PM American Ninja Warrior - Season 3 (Part 4) - The Semi-Finals from Venice Beach, CA

I guess they're going to do the 8 episode format again.

Out of the first two episodes Drew Drechsel's run impressed me the most. He's not only fast but appears to have some serious upper body strength too, especially for a freerunner.
Shame about what happened to him.

Wow Brian really seems to know what he is talking about with why sauske would not work in America...also nice to hear that he knows if he wants to get farther in stage 3 he has to work on upper body some more.

Yeah, he does know what he's talking about, and especially the part where he ripped on WipeOut. Nice! (I enjoy Wipeout in its own right but SASUKE it is not.) I guess they're going to do the 8 episode format again. Yep, they are. According to what I read on SASUKEpedia it'll be the same as 23 and 26 - where the Americans are retconned out of the tournament when it airs on G4. They'll have some serious explaining to do if the Americans are the only ones that make Stage 3 - or quite possibly achieve Kanzenseiha while the Japanese falter. I wouldn't put it past them....but you knew that.

Was there any promotion except for the random ANW3 promo on G4? Surely being sponsored by Progressive and K-Swiss would give the $ necessary for off-network promotion. Even that didn't seem to clog the ads on their own network.

Even that didn't seem to clog the ads on their own network. It was everywhere.. hell.. I even got notices on Xbox live... hubby kept calling me in the living room "Another ad for American Ninja Warrior.. should we get cable again?" (snicker.. he hates the show.. LOL)

Either I have horrible timing or I blank ads out because the worse I got were a couple ads on G4TV.com.

If I wasn't watching G4 I would've never known that a new season was coming out.

Not that it matters but Candace Bailey didn't make it to the Log Grip. She fell on the third Quad Step but decided to continue on and fell on the Log Grip too. They showed it on AOTS the Friday before the first two episodes aired.
