There were pics of testers on the third stage, it's the same. Stage 2, likely the same. Stage 1, two new obstacles who's full functions are unknown. By full, I mean we know about some of these obstacle's functions, but not the complete function.
Also realized that I was counting down instead of up.

Man I hope they didnt just replace the landing platform with a log... Impossible. If that happened, people WILL get hurt. Cannonball run is nice. For once. Soritatsu Kabe's weird look: I don't think it matters at all. There's HPA run-up area and log that seemingly connects the previous obstacle to SK (I love using Japanese names, f*** you xxxxxxx). Unless its those damn spring boards from sonic, not relevant.

Unless of course... it's still the HPA, with the soft platform, except instead of a thin bridge to the Warped Wall, it's a log. I kno I hate that guy.

I consider it more a waste of time then an obstable Yes. I don't know about everyone else, but alot of times, if I'm watching a rerun of Ninja Warrior, and someone is climbing the rope ladder, I will change the channel cause I hate waiting. I bet alot of Japanese folks do the same. I really think the obstacle turns away viewers.

I agree with alrerego. Do you know how wild that rope can get on the half pipe? Even if it is longer it's not going to be easy to stick a landing and run across that log. I'm all for change on obstacles, but this one might be too hard... Idk, we'll just have to see.

I train for the Half-pipe attack. That would not be to hard compared to some obstacles.

I may a sadist, but I seriously doubt that the Halfpipe landing platform will become a log.

I may a sadist, but I seriously doubt that the Halfpipe landing platform will become a log. Yeah It probably isn't. It's either one of two things. 1. The halfpipe attack is EXACTLY the same, it's the thin platform connecting it to the Warped Wall that has now been transformed into a log. 2. The halfpipe part of the halfpipe attack is now curved to where you run into the direction of the log.

Oh, but it looks the same to me. Then again, it's in desperate need of an overhaul.
As for your theories, I think the former is correct.'

If that's the case, I'd be wearing a cup if I was a competitor.

I really just think it wasn't set up at the time of the shot...

Then why were there camera guys filming the 1st Stage? Since it was the day before the actual tournament, they were probably just trying to get nice shots of the course. So why would they be doing that when the 1st Stage isn't even completely put together yet?
Personally, I think Alison is blocking something we can't see in the picture... God I hope she is.

Well, then how are you supposed to smoothly get to the Warped Wall? Right now jumping from the log to the wall doesn't seem possible based on the distance and the pads next to it are usually course out pads.

Maybe it hasn't changed. The WW looks unfinished

Theory that is probably completely wrong, but what if this log has something to do with the 3rd obstacle? I know it's where the Halfpipe is but we all agree that it can't really be used there unless you want to put some of the guys in a lot of pain.

I saw supports for the log, it's defintely NOT part of the "Canyon Swing" (Name coined by me judging by it's appearence.) it's part of the Halfpipe Attack, I think it's there to make the WW harder like in 19-21. You know, starting from the middle of the wall with absolutely no momentum.
