I never liked the Sasuke version of the Arm Bike. I always preferred the version from the original American Gladiators. I pretty sure the AG version is a little harder due to different gear ratios, but that's not the reason why I don't like the Sasuke version. As far as I'm concerned, the Arm Bike is more of a speed obstacle than a strength. Sure you do need strength to pass it, but it's a very fast obstacle compared to the rest of stage three.
I always felt like it would be a good stage two obstacle. I think it would be good where the Balance Tank currently is, provided they add a balance obstacle somewhere else on the course. I think Sasuke works better when it has a good mix of balance and strength obstacles.

I think people are just forgetting that we've only watched the AMERICANS. Has ANW brainwashed you all into thinking that the Americans honestly had the upper hand in this tournament? We only got to see 4 attempt the 3rd Stage, all of which failed the UCH. Word on the street is, some people who think this stage/UCH is too difficult might be in for a rude awakening, because apparently there are 90 other competitors in SASUKE 27!! AKA people who are smaller and weigh less like Nagano, Yuuji, Koji, Lee, Okuyama, Kong, Tajima, Shingo, Takeda, Kanno, Sato Jun, etc. etc. etc. even Yamada who weighs less COULD have a chance! What people are doing at the moment is judging the difficulty of the course by watching 10 competitors, who are all considerably taller and heavier than the japanese contenders. This means that they can make obstacles like the Jumping Spider and Cannonball Run look easier than they might be for the rest of the field, and/or make the UCH and Third Stage look harder than it might really be for someone who is 53kg as opposed to 83kg. Everyone needs to take a chill pill bout the current course. After we know the results of this tournament, and only THEN, can we decide what obstacles were easy, hard, messy, clever, boring, etc. There are two tournaments called Sasuke 25 and Sasuke 26 I want to remind you of. I've always said the UCH was too hard, and it kills the rest of the 3rd stage. I said this when they got rid of the boards, and I'm saying it again now. SASUKE 25: A renewal where 3rd stage qualifiers had no idea what they were in for, meaning that there was no way they could know how to train for the RC+DG, Floating Boards or UCH. Oh, it was also a freezing night which, as everyone who trains for SASUKE knows, makes gripping things much harder and far more painful. SASUKE 26: People trained for these obstacles, but to be fair nobody extremely formidable to the UCH made it to the Third Stage. Paul: Was really unfortunate with the DG surprise twist and being the first to find out, but we know now that back then he probably wasn't going to be first to clear the UCH. Brent: Another newcomer, a stuntman, but he never trained for anything like this so there was really no way he was clearing it. Brain: Everyone on this forum agreed that after watching him at bootcamp he really didn't stand much of a chance against the UCH, and he failed the RC. Okuyama: He didn't even get past half-way up the first ledge last time... did we really think he had it in the bag? To be fair David and Li were formidable opponents, but we had nobody of the caliber of Yuuji, Nagano, Kanno or Koji in there, so there you have it. It's not that it's too hard. It's that the beginning of the stage was. That being said, the obstacles before the UCH IMO disappeared before people who really had a shot could reach them... because the First Stage was too difficult.

The only issue with the current Cliff Hanger...what happens when someone defeats the Final Stage? Then what? Make it harder? I know it probably won't happen for a while, but still...

The UCH isn't too hard and its not too crazy to assume that alot of people may have passed it; making it less of a surprise if alot of people made it to the final stage. If that does happen then simply make the latter stage 3 obstacles harder.

Maybe they were worried that Yamada was going to retire for real after 24, so they made the UCH

I have been out for the last two days, so that doesn't help. Punishment will be issued.

Ya'll need to use the report to mod button for them to see it. We only have 2 active mods, and sheep stays far away from this section due to spoilers.

I've already banned 1 person, i'll continue to hand them out as seen fit.
Do remember folks this is NOT a spoiler thread.
DO NOT POST RESULTS unless you'd also like a 2 month suspension.
As mentioned, I do not want to be spoiled, so I am not going to monitor each post.
Previously I gave everyone the benefit of the doubt that they could behave, clearly that was a poor idea.
I have 2 people out there that will report to me anyone who spoils, if you are mentioned, you're out, no questioned asked.
This must be done for the protection of everyone.

While I didn't really like the execution, I thought the new landing platform was definitely a good concept. How many times have we seen people go back for a second turn and complete an easier obstacle? This way forced you to either commit on the first try or go back and have to land on a log for the second, requiring balance. If they made the small landing platform a little bit more soft, I think it wouldn't be too bad in the future.

I have a few questions: . Do you get disqualified if you take the bar with you to UCH platform? . Was it the same as it was before(in terms of the gap between the notches)? . Was the Halfpipe Attack's rope thinner and longer than before? . Was the Unstable Bridge easier than before (the gap between the two boards)?
Thanks.

Everything looks virtually the same and how would we know about the Flying Bar considering it's a week from Monday before it airs in Japan.

You won't get disqualified. You're not off course and it provides no advantage. ( it's probably harder than not taking the bar with you)

1. Agreed with UC 2. It looks closer to me, but I have no way of telling for sure. 3. Rope is at its same length. The landing platform is higher, if I'm not mistaken. 4. I believe it's the same.
