Supersheep gave me his approval for this poll! Anyway, you know the drill, but you get TWO options instead of one. I wonder how you'll all reply to this.

Banzuke is really a goldmine waiting to be exposed. If you show all the events, including strikeout and those types of events ,in chronological orderand not reply the same 40 episodes over and over and over again, and maybe even nix kanda and put in CORRECT subtitles, ya know every basic thing you do when your showing a foreign show, then its golden. It was one of the top shows in Japan for a while, ya know.

Like Blind said, if they take it seriously and treat it with the respect it should, I'll take anybody but G4. At the same time, who's to say any other company won't put a MXC-like spin on the show? Now, I love MXC, don't get me wrong, but it's one thing to make Takeshi's Castle even sillier than it seems without Spike's spin on it and another to do the same for Banzuke. Also, I doubt any other network would give Banzuke a primetime slot like G4 (granted they have little programming to begin with); I would bet money that with the exception of MAYBE Spike and Versus, every other network gives it a graveyard slot. That said, I'd take the risk if TBS would be willing to switch the rights over (although I doubt TBS would give rights to two different networks in the same country at the same time). Then again, I don't know TV.

I would only accept it as long as I get to see Hand Walk IV, I saw Neko de Drive II, but I've no good pics of Hand Walk IV.

I think G4 did a really good job with Banzuke with the exception of removing the target events. They didn't dub it and seemed to keep to keep the integrity of the original show. Of course, they added 'Kei Kato', but he was such an insignificant part, it didn't make any difference.
As for showing the events in chronological order, didn't G4 do that? I know they showed Like a Pierrot 1 after a few other iterations, but everything else seemed to be in sequence.
Also, I've seen quite a few episodes of JET's version which I think is the original episode plus subtitles. The target events take up nearly the entire episode and after awhile, they're really quite boring.
I would be perfectly happy if G4 were to resume Banzuke and keep the same format but just add the target events.

I totally agree with you there, I hate the target events.
G4 probably saw that the target events might be too boring and thus decided not to include them in their broadcast, then again, they did air Daruma 7 and Banzai 90 and their variations and they're not obstacle courses, they even aired Athletic Love and Extra Kendama and they too aren't obstacle courses.
I think G4 snipped out the boring bits and just kept the good bits, but not all of the good bits, despite my loathing for Kick Target, Struck Out, Balloon Shooter, Punch Out (Which is a bowling ball event) ,etc, I actually wouldn't mind seeing G4 air them, due to their splicing the footage, it would make the target events tolerable.
They should really air Escape, it was pretty cool, it had six stages.

The thing is, the target events usually had the most famous people participating in them and that was always a selling point of the series in Japan.

And Kobe Bryant was on 9 Hoops.
And I never said I hated the target events! They just went on for too long and were incredibly drawn out. There was one episode I saw where the ENTIRE baseball team plus friends and family ran out in a big celebration every time a target was hit...
The target events would have to be highly edited for an American audience, but they'd work for sure.

Zidane went for KB? No wonder he's so awesome.
Anyways as long as we see everything, I couldn't care less.

Well... there will be something like a mixture of Banzuke and Pro Sportsman no 1 in Serbia, starting this September, but i do not have high hopes in it!
