A few days back, I saw an event in Kinniku Banzuke called "Escape", it looked really nice and it perked my interest in finding about two things, what the final obstacle in Like a Pierrot Ghost was and what it was like during the Power Island accidents. As well as the Hank Walk IV, Super Rider 4+5, Neko de Drive II, and any other events courses that were redesigned, what they were like, I may be bringing up a topic you may find old, but I want my answers in a clearer format.

I know that it exists, it said so on my first message, my real interests are the other events.

The Power Island episodes were filmed but never aired. The show as taken off the air instead and then morphed into Taiiku Ookoku. lostinube.blogspot.com/2008/04/tbs-2002-and-cancellation-of-kinniku.htmlAs for your other questions, it seems that whatever G4 has already shown is all they have. You'll have to check youtube and other video services to see if JET or some other country ran other episodes. Other than that, there are not many videos from the time the shows actually aired (over ten years old in some cases). The Japanese side of the internet does not seem all that interested in uploading those things, at least not on youtube.

Well, I think there is a link that can help in my search, it was for the Akiyama vs. Yamada thing and there was a link for it, I wasn't able to view it all, but I think that's the area where I need to go. Also, I had read your blog before, and I used the overhead view of the course as my avatar on my Sasukepedia account Dark Traveler, what I meant by what was it like, I meant what everyone present at the accident thought, was there a huge panic? Also, sorry for bumping the old topics, but the link for the SR4 pictures just goes to something else and I didn't know about the rules until yesterday.

I did a liveblog in case you don't have 25 minutes to spare. Apparently back in 2000 Kinniku Banzuke was desperate for events and made a giant course and threw 150 people on it at the same time.
Furutachi gives the "go" signal. Jumping right in to the first "stage". Your choice of bridge followed by a ramp. One guy is through - hey it's Iketani Naoki! A bunch of other people try the styrofoam bridge - it snaps! It appears that the log bridge crotch slide method is working for most people. There's mud before the slope so the slope is tricky. 60 people grab flags!
Perhaps the winner gets 150 million yen or something. All other signs say that 100 competed and 60 moved on.
Second event! Tug of war? They split into teams of 30. One team weighs 24 kg heavier.
Ok, it appears they're pushing a giant block. They're on narrow platforms so it appears that the losing team will fall into the mud. And in the blink of an eye all 30 people jump in! The winning team celebrates! And (shock) it was the heavier team.
They interview a Yamada Katsumi lookalike. It appears they're doing this at Midoriyama, I think I see the SASUKE framework in the background.
Escape 3! Something with a military guy and a zzombie. I have no idea.
Yamada Katsumi wannabe is interviewed... again. His last name is Naitoh.
Ok, they're in teams of 3. They have to go across a water platform on a giant ski. TBS is giving me a random figure that I can't interpret. I guess 28 people cleared? I have no idea. In the middle they have to dodge a giant swinging ball. The team pushes it aside. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! So THIS is what a 100 step would sound like. Now they're on a tilting bridge. Now the military guy is coming up behind them! One falls! Then two! Then three!
Another team of three people. Is one of them Kane Kosugi? The military guy shoves them all down.
Omori Akira sighting! He's been in basically every KB event ever. He's the calmest of the three. The back guy is taking a beating from the swinging ball. We have a winner! Wait, is that it? Also it seems they did a ramp climb - is that in place of the tilting bridge? I have no idea.
Another death by military guy. Basically if you take too long he throws you off.
Iketani Naoki is paired with an 11 year old boy. They clear!
Another 11 year old boy. Where are these kids' parents? They clear! Youth power! The military guy didn't even get to the swinging ball.
11 year old boy #3. They have to go to the side? Okay, I guess they didn't show the last obstacle for the other people. They all have to do the ramp and bridge.
Also, they military guy is the "zombie" and his feet are shackled.
Another death by zombie. One guy stays on the course but I guess he was disqualified and pretends to be a zombie.
Score two for the zombie!
Wow. The group made it to the finish line while the zombie was on their back.
15 people remain!
Escape 4! Avoid the Terminators!
They have to do some sort of obstacle course. First obstacle is like the Spinning Log, or Bura-whatever Maruta. All three fail instantly!
Next group is a 11 year old boy and the last surviving woman. Second area is some sort of balance beam maze where you have to dodge the Terminators. It appears one of them is Shane Kosugi. Only the boy remains! And he falls!
Two down, three to go. One guy throws Shane into the water! And he wins! The other two are shameful! There's a Hop Rocket type obstacle and a pole vault. Some guy failed the Pole Vault.
Group number 4 - the Iketani group. The boy falls instantly! Let the lawsuits begin! Iketani goes for the frog method? Another guy is wearing a similar "Break Monkeys" jersey. Here comes the maze. This is a lot like the Log Screw from Viking. This is a little much for Iketani. He's going for the scaffolding! He's on monkey bars! He's got a Terminator on him! The other guy goes down! It's two on one! Shane shoves him into the water! There's a random set of monkey bars and the scaffolding is fair game.
Last group! For the record there's no teamwork involved. Two of the three make it to the maze. How many 11 year olds are there in this competition? He's taking a Narrow type obstacle. He runs for it! And he's got it! The other goes down courtesy of a Terminator!
Take that adults! Get pwned by a sixth grader!
Escape 5! Little boy vs. older guy!
Lots of scaffolding in the background. Looks like SASUKE stage 2's greatest hits.
First up is a giant rope swing. Very small landing pad. Older guy is first. And he hangs on! But just barely! And that's it! Perhaps this was KB2's Third Stage. Now things make more sense!
11 year old boy versus giant rope swing! He's crazy nervous. He's mumbling something. He pulls a Miyazaki! He's going to ride it out! The adults can't stand it! He lands it! Two winners on the Rope Swing!
By the way, it's nighttime now. Thought I'd mention that.
Two random women are happy for him.
Final Escape! Ultimate Battle!
It's the Iron Chefs! But with tank tops! (They're rising via elevator.) Tank tpo guy, baseball guy, and Masami Yusa! 28 year old guy challenges Masami Yusa! My goodness, this IS Iron Chef!
Their battle: Sponge Bridge. Yusa goes first. The guy watches. (He's 28, for the record.) Yusa goes right across them! She's through! The guy has the look that he's going to lose. All the boads are level, by the way. He loses after five boards! He was unsteady from the beginning.
The boy doesn't get a turn! We'll never know why!
Buy Kinniku Banzuke 2! Now for the Gameboy Color! Now we finally understand Fake SASUKE's third stage!
People discuss some stuff. Still no explanation for the little boy, but he's crying so I assume he was DQ'd for pulling a Miyazaki. That, or he was too young. I really have no idea.

Does anyone remember anything from the SR4 course and what do you think everyone present at Power Island did? Also, any guesses on what the final obstacle of Like a Pierrot Ghost was?

I'm guessing Like a Pierrot Ghost ended with a long narrow balance beam of some sort like in every other Like a Pierrot. I don't think it was ever reached, so I'm pretty sure it's impossible to ever determine exactly.

There's a probelm with your theory, if you look on the Like a Pierrot Ghost video, there is no evidence of a balance beam, if you look at the finish line (which is visible when the lightning for the axes comes on) there is only a red square and no evidence of a balance beam, it is hidden from view thanks to the Death Heads (the obstacle with skulls that acts like the Sucker Punch from Wipeout) my theory is that competitors had to roll on a ball similar to the final obstacle from Super Rider 3, to support this theory, you can see two large moons in the background of the obstacle, which supports the ball theory, you had to roll on the moon, unfortunely, to deal a blow to my theory is the castle wall in the background that accompanies the moons, but the ball theory best fits what we can really see, if any of you have something to contridict my theory, please say so.

I'm not really understanding what you mean, re: Power Island. There is no released footage of the event, no on-site reportage of it. Do you want people to speculate about how the people and the staff there reacted? We only know that the filming just kept on going because no one really knew (or didn't check on) the severity of the injuries at the time.

Yes, I want people to speculate at how the people and staff reacted to the accidents. Also, any speculation on what the obstacles of Hand Walk IV were?

Ube already answered that they didn't react as severely as they should have because they didn't really know the severity of the injuries.

www.geocities.co.jp/Hollywood-Kouen/2596/kongo/ranking/onair-rank.htmlI posted this in another topic that was largely ignored. It includes the episode guide and obstacle lists of Hand Walk 4, Super Rider 4 and 5, Like a Pierrot Ghost (with the last obstacle listed as unknown), Nakama, Neko de Drive 2 (which I saw a clip of a while back), most of the target events, Sasuke specials, etc. This hopefully will answer most of your questions.

Can you give me the link for the clip? Seems that the designers kept the last obstacles of these new courses secret. Do you have any speculation on the final obstacle of Like a Pierrot Ghost? Plus, how many obstacles do you remember from Super Rider 4 while the pictures of it were still up?
