Okie dokie! Able to do another interview segment.. YAY.. ;D ramblingrican.blogspot.com/2011/06/post-your-questions-for-david-campbell.htmlYa'll remember I did these for a while. I did one before for David back for Sasuke 22. ramblingrican.blogspot.com/2009/09/david-campbell-american-shiratori.html Do me a favor and don't ask questions about that if it's already been posted.. Anyway I'll ONLY be taking questions about Sasuke 26 as anything tied to 27 in any way (yes.. including ANW3) is considered off-limits until G4 airs it. So ask away and DAVID DON'T ANSWER HERE ;D As usual - Feel free to state your name, age (optional), City (or state, etc.) and your question. Even if some questions have been asked here on the forums I would like to get these all in one blog. Thanks all!

Hey David, first of all I'd like to congratulate you on your unbelievable performance at Sasuke 26. You, along with the other ANW2 finalists as well as Taiwan's Li En Zhi, represented the international Sasuke fanbase with great pride! I hope to see you guys keep up the excellent work and the good-spirited attitudes that many people like to see in Sasuke competitors, and hopefully you all get more chances in future tournaments! :) Also, I wanted to ask you a couple of questions about your time at Sasuke 26:
1.) In what ways did you feel emotionally different from when you first competed in Sasuke 22?
2.) Did the Japanese competitors and audience display some more negative feedback this time around due to the astounding success from foreigners in Sasuke 26? If so, in what ways?
3.) Besides the 10 clears, Shane D., Adam T., and the 2 Japanese Rope Ladder time-outs shown (Kawahara and Morikami), were there any other people who made it far into Stage 1? I'm just curious since you were actually there as well as the fact that everyone else shown failed one of the first 5 obstacles.
4.) What did you think of Mr. Octopus (a.k.a. my favorite competitor! :D ) making it to the Rolling Escargot?
Thank you very much David for taking my questions and good luck in your pursuit for becoming the next Grand Champion! :)
-William, 18, Pennsylvania
BTW thanks to you as well arsenette! This is really neat how you're doing this again!

1) What was your usual workout routine/eating plan before competing in Sasuke 26? (**NOT COUNTING THE CRAP AT BOOTCAMP!!**)
2) Which one of the Japanese All-Stars appeared as the most friendliest towards all of the Americans? (Basically, did any of them show you around the course or introduce you to other fellow Japanese competitors?
3) In your point of view, which tournament's first stage seemed more difficult to you? Sasuke 22 or Sasuke 26?
And finally, if you ever get the time, could you record a full POV of you taking on all of the replica obstacles in your backyard and upload them to youtube? I'm sure many of us would enjoy it!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, good luck with everything in your future!

On TV, it appears that right after one competitor fails, the next goes straight away
Timewise this doesn't add up
What is the actual course of events like?

Good to see you were able to return to Sasuke. Hope you can return in the future.
Seeing most of the well-known other competitors fail the 1st Stage, did it end up taking a hit on your confidence for the later stages or did it add more motivation to do well?

Could you do a "In David's head" play-by-play of your run like you did in your last interview?

1. I know this is a silly question, but did you listen to the Willy Wonka music again before your run?
2. How's your band doing, and can we listen to some of your songs?
(Not giving out personal info)
EDIT: 3. How welll do you think you would have done had you got the chance to compete in SASUKE 24 (5 finalists, etc)?

The previews for a couple of the tournaments (18 & 22) show Shingo Yamamoto speaking a little English. How well does he speak English now? Does he seem to understand what you say, or does he need a translator? Does Yamada speak any English?

Hey David, congratulations on your success in SASUKE 26, and best of luck for the future!
1. How would you compare the Jumping Spider in 26 to your replica at home? Also, was it any different from the one you encountered in 22?
2. As you and your fellow Americans were competing (and succeeding), were you guys aware of the announcers drumming up the pressure for the Japanese competitors? And if so, did it seem to affect anybody besides Nagano and Urushihara?
Once again, thank you very much!

last time I saw "Campbell" park in your back yard through Sasuke 26 how come you didn't try to add a roulette cylinder/ doorknob grasper? Is it because you thought that those obstacles were going to be "easy" enough for you to wing it at the competition or because of restraints of funds or planning and designing them?

1. Of all the Sasuke obstacles you completed, which did you think was the most challenging mentally and physically?
2. What advise would you give someone who wants wants to train for Sasuke in regards of cardio and strength training?
3. At the ANW 2 boot camp, what thoughts were going through your head before and after Travis pulled your name to be on his team?

I'm very uncreative with questions, but here goes:
1.) How organized was the actual Sasuke competition? Every time I watch Sasuke, it seems that the space around the starting platform is crowded and chaotic. Was there any time where you didn't know where you supposed (or allowed) to be?
2.) It seems sometimes that the starting signal begins before some competitors are ready. Are you notified when it's about to start or do you just have to be ready?
