Leon does irritate me though, even after he was wrong he tried playing it off.

Haha. What irritates me about Leon is how he says that he'll "crush" Sasuke and describes all the time how physically strong he is, but he doesn't appear to be that physically capable to even clear the first stage, which is just the first step in a long process. I mean it took him how many times to clear his replica cliffhanger haha? With a lot of practice on a replica cliffhanger you'll eventually clear that replica cliffhanger, and it took him five videos that he put up with about 8 or more failed attempts (that we know about) per video before he finally got it. Now, I'm not saying that he's really some pathetic weakling, because you have to have some strength in order to even hang on, but he says things that he can't even back up. It's pathetic. Another example is his Salmon Ladder. Sure it's impressive that he can get up to the second to last rung of it but still can't get the last one, but he makes a thread saying how easy it is. He then makes another video of the gap between the second to last rung and the final rung, and it took him many tries before he was even able to get it. Also, judging by how he falls all the time, he seems to lack balance and coordination, which is essential to clear even the first obstacle, giving me the impression that he would not do very well at all on Sasuke. Another thing that irritates me about him is when he said a while ago on an old thread on the G4 forums that he won't make excuses when he fails; yet, he makes excuses all the time. "I wasn't use to the movements on the Salmon Ladder and didn't want to fall badly" and "going by what the announcer says, the cliffhanger ledge is four centimeters not three" are just a few examples. I threw in the cliffhanger example because he probably makes it four to make it easier on himself but he doesn't admit that. I could care less if he said he made it four to make it easier on himself or because he wasn't able to do it with three centimeters and was working up to three centimeters. So, in regards to his claims that he can do pullups with his bodyweight plus 120 pounds (or whatever random number he made up out of his head) or that he can do dips plus 90 pounds, I don't believe because of the amount of times he lies and makes excuses.

Hell, I made a better Gliding Ring vid than him, I at least "Moved it down the track" and used something that actually moves.

I find it interesting that Leon considers that to be "training" when in fact he his doing those swings in isolation and with no other obstacles done before it.

And anyone can swing on a stationary bar that doesn't move back and forth. But he doesn't seem to think that the Ring moves at all.

I think this has probably gone on long enough, no use bitching about a guy who's not here to defend himself (although that wouldn't turn out well), even if I can fully understand the desire to vent the frustration. I don't want to lock it but maybe we could begin to steer it back on topic. Or should we keep this as the official bitching thread for a little longer?

EDIT: To be fair, I'd argue for the Cliff Hanger being closer to 4cm than 3 as well. People seem to get most of their second pads on the ledge.

The reason that this topic has gone as far off course as it has is simple: How many times can we all say how upset we are at "theguy" being disabled before we complain about Leon? Really, outside of all the regular posters saying "Boy that sucks" the topic wouldn't have much in it.

Bitching about Leon is actoally close to topic anyway considering he and pamusicman could very well be considered theguy's murderers. Everyone tiptoed around the code for the longest time before those two said:

"HEY G4!! WE"RE MISERABLE HUMAN BEINGS WHO WANT TO RUIN OTHER PEOPLES HAPPINESS! GO BLOW THEM UP! AH-HAHAHAHA!"

It doesn't stop him from doing the same to others. Just look at all the crap he posts about others who aren't there to defend themselves. Even when proven wrong, his ego is still to big to admit he's wrong and on and on he goes.

I think if he were here to defend himself, this would turn from one-sided flamethrower to two-sided flame war, in which case this would be shut down and all parties dealt with in their neutral corners.

I felt the intention of this thread was to make an announcement and possibly to find an alternative method while everyone was sending condolences. If that's the case, the conversation has strayed well off that. I'm not defending or attacking anyone here or on the G4 boards; there will always be stupid people on the internet, but I think everyone's lost the plot here.

Some jackass over on IMDB tried to kill it last Summer by announcing the actual sitename. I told him to change the post but scnoi had to make a personal request to get him to listen.
