Yeah agreed. I would like to see some new sasuke-like obstcles to change it up a bit, but they will probably stick with what works. The only thing I can see changing on the prelim course is the f-bridge due to injuries and incosistency.

I 3rd that. To my knowledge, no one's had their head busted after failing an obstacle on Sasuke. I get release forms and all of that, but they wouldn't even let people do it the right way. Perfect example of poor design = influenced results.

Well they seem to like the 2 stage prelims thingie. I do wish it's not just 1.5 redux.. does anyone think they will ACTUALLY have a real 2nd stage? I'd like to see that.

I don't think they will designed a completely separate second stage. I would love to see that, but that's not as important to me as eliminating the speed aspect is. I think there are serious flaws in the system especially when you consider that some people who made it to boot camp were only able to clear the short qualifier. I'll be still be happy even if they leave everything the same, though. |

Well we know boot is still there (even though I throw my hands in the air .. I hate boot.. of any kind.. it just doesn't belong on a Sasuke qualifier.. however modified..) but I have at least some hope for prelims since that's the only part of ANW 2 I enjoyed.. LOL

No more boot camp. I'm sick of Boot Camp. They should have a different finals, like... maybe an even more extended course, or a race, or something interesting that's just not boot camp. The other thing I hate is the ten Americans alone thing. A cool thing to do would be to air the competition after ANW. The qualifier and semi-finals are the ones I don't really mind.

Well they got rid of the Tarzan Rope and the Fail Log in ANW1.
And for ANW2, they added in a Salmon ladder, gliding ring, and Fail Bridge.
Hopefully ANW3 will change it again, I'm confident G4 will. They like to change things up it seems obstacle wise.
With that said, I care more about what's on the mini-course than what's on the actual course.

I kind of hope that the bridge of blades sticks around. It took me out but I really think that I just approached it wrong. It's also the competitor in me that makes me want to try something again until I get it.
Other than that, I really want to see a cliffhanger somewhere. I definitely want to see a separate stage 2 but also realize that if the same location is used (which I loved) then space may be a bit limited.

They could possibly put in the Balance Tank which seems to be a decently difficult obstacle to replace the +Bridge. Though I'm sure G4's crew is extremely lazy in which they probably don't want to sit there and have to move the Balance Tank back up to the beginning.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone submitted a video for ANW3 yet? And if so, has G4 contacted you?
Basically just wondering if the early submitters are going to get preferential times to run the ANW3 qualifier course.

I think the only people who got hit up early last time were returning competitors. Not sure, though. I submitted my ANW2 video three weeks before the deadline and wasn't contacted until the deadline had passed.

I'm just concerned that since no deadline has been announced yet that it could be a while until there's an end to submissions. I'm guessing G4's thinking of contingencies in case Sasuke 27 doesn't happen. |

From what the FB has been saying "some" sort of announcement will be made end of month (which should be this week..) about the deadline. Given of course with the stuff going on in Japan right now I'm sure they are just as curious what's going to happen to Sasuke. If anyone sees anything just post here as well to keep everyone apprised and no one misses any deadlines.

Just about two things are guaranteed for ANW3: There will be a boot camp, and David Campbell will be trying out. Right, David? You have to be the first person to beat the UCH!
*ahem* Anyways, I agree that they at least need to modify the Bridge of Blades. Blood is not something you should see after a qualifier wipes out. As for new obstacles...honestly, they should get some stage 3 stuff in there. Nothing massive. Maybe have the Roulette Cylinder after the Salmon Ladder rather than the...Gliding Ring, was it?

Technically they called it the Circle Slider but yeah, What they could have done was make the Salmon Ladder not as high up and you jump from lower and just have an Unstable Bridge there. Didn't only one person (Brian) fail the Circle Slider anyways? And that was just from messing up jumping to it
