Confirmed by Ninja Warrior's facebook account:
Somebody needs to check Twitter and see if they have anything there.
EDIT: They also confirmed 26 would be airing in the spring.

Does this change anything though? They're talking about the one we already saw - it simply hasn't aired in America yet...

Well it semi confirms that a new ANW will happen, which means there is a greater chance of Sasuke 27 happening, which it probably will.

I guess the main question would be, does ANW go on after 27. If they keep it going, does it happen as a once a year special or are they going to go full out finally with an American version of Sasuke? Let's go ask Mister Owl, cuz I'm sure his answer would be way better than anything G4's top brass can muster.

Nothing of this is new. We have known way back November that NW26 was airing in March.. We also know that ANW was going to be done regardless of what happens in Japan. We also know 27 was coming but is considered to be the last one. Confirmation on ANW is not confirmation for Sasuke 28.. it only shows that they wanted a new one.. if the "earlier than anticipated" then that means they might want it in time for Sasuke 27 which at this point was the only question and the topic of this thread: sasukemaniac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sasuke26&action=display&thread=3226

"We'll let you know right here on the Ninja Warrior fan page as well as on the site www.g4tv.com/ninjawarrior on how to submit your video application for American Ninja Warrior 3. Stay tuned..." 3 hours ago. Although that doesn't solidify anything as far as Sasuke goes, still glad they are dropping at least SOME info in regards to ANW 3 this early.

This may mean CBS wasn't lying about the event, but the schedule I honestly doubt that article is true, but I don't know yet. If this ANW has the Rolling Escargot that would be awesome. This still doesn't confirm which tournament is after it though.

If Sasuke end sin Japan at least the spirit will stay alive here in the US.

I'm happy that there will be some obstacle course show besides Wipeout that's about athleticism and skill, as opposed to a dumbed down Sasuke, with random people constantly wiping out.

Also I really like it when someone actually tries to make it. On Wipeout it's like your wiping out on purpose. No one really has done that. Except for that old guy who performed pathetically in 15. I wonder if SASUKE is being sold to G4. That's been on my mind for awhile and I figured maybe it is.

If Sasuke dies and ANW is all that's left, I bet it's going to be so dumbed down that a free runner will win every time.

I didn't even watch that abomination. Hopefully G4 steps up and actually recreates Sasuke. Four insanely hard stages.

Rock and a hard place you don't wanna reward G4 for their pathetic showing but you also wanna boost their ratings so they hopefully get the hint that there's an audience for it and they put their all into it.

I'll praise them all they want if they finally do things completely right. Don't get me wrong, ANW2 WAS a step in the right direction. Let's just hope they keep it up.

I have no problem with the actual events that made up ANW 2 (including Boot Camp), but I would like to see some rule changes to keep things a bit more fair:
1.) People who clear the qualifier twice and can't do 1 rung of the Salmon Ladder should not be in Boot Camp.
2.) Have the Boot Camp eliminations where the bottom 2 on the last place team automatically climb the rope. This would avoid "...but I'm a 5 year fan, I HAVE to go to Japan..."

Although in terms of fairness, you are right. In terms of entertainment, and the reality+Controversial aspect, I think it should stay. Who isn't going to be interested in how that guy does during ANW3?
