There is only one day open in the March schedule for there to be any sort of special longer than two hours: March 31st. All other slots have already been filled.
Only two SASUKEs (13 and 15 in April and July respectively) have ever been aired after March and before September.

I think it's being taped in March. I believe the air date would be somewhere May. That's usually how it goes right?

I was talking about the time span between the taping date and the air date. 2 month time span?

Even G4 mentioned that although not canceled .. TBS has confirmed that they have no date for 27. They are going with 2 things.. history (usually it's March for Spring Sasuke) and the article mentioning the cancellation mentioned Sasuke ending in March.

If I'm not mistaken.. Didn't the article say that march was when they were going to "Decide on the future of Sasuke"? While yes it's likely because of ratings it might canceled, but if we do get 27 there was nothing about it being IN march..

For those who are unfamiliar with the TV cycles in Japan, April is the start of the new drama season. The end of March/very early April is between the drama seasons and is the most likeliest time for TV stations to fill in their schedules with specials. This is also true of September and to some extent late December/early January. That's why SASUKE generally falls into those periods. Any other time is filled with dramas and other regular programming and very unlikely to have open blocks of two or three hours.
It's not to say that it's impossible to have it outside of those times but until they started doing the New Years shows they have generally adhered to that cycle.
