I was looking on Google today for "山田勝己" and I came across this several times. "2011年02月24日 山田勝己をそそり立つ壁で取り囲むと死ぬ" This is one site that had that. tweetbuzz.jp/entry/32639901/blog.livedoor.jp/ringotomomin/archives/51612212.htmlCan someone translate this? I ran it through the Google translator, and it translates that as "Towering walls surrounding the death and Yamada Katsumi February 24, 2011." I certainly hope that it's just a bad translation from Google. Can someone tell me exactly what that is saying? |

Well I don't know how to translate it besides google which is what gave you the disaster.. So I made it to Romaji
"2011 nen 02 tsuki 24 nichi yamada katsumi o sosoritatsu kabe de tori ? muto shinu"
I think something got lost in the translation.. I assume it has something to do with the soritatsu kabe being his enemy.. Also I think the death thing was probably a metaphor, How often do we say "Death by *obstacle name*" ourselves?

How did you change it from traditional to romanji? If I'd seen it in romanji I would've known right away that it didn't mean what I thought it meant.

All it's saying is that Katsumi Yamada died (was found dead) surrounded by sosoritatsu kabe. It's a joke thread based on Yamada's inability to beat the wall. The first response is "He must have starved to death."
The date is when it was reposted somewhere else. It started on 2ch on the 20th of February.

The joke would have been better if they left out the "so" so they can get their accuracy right, he beat the sosoritatsu kabe no problems, Soritatsu Kabe is a different story Also  How did you change it from traditional to romanji? I use Death by on my blogs..
As for the theme online .. that's pretty common. When the original article of Sasuke ending in March came out everyone online was thinking Katsumi was going to commit suicide.. so this is not uncommon for them to come up with a warped sense of humor. And yes it is mean but not uncommon given how he's viewed in Japan.
