From everywhere I've seen, people have been saying that Yagyu-Gaiden (the new version of the classic Sasuke clear theme) only started being used in Sasuke 20. However, while I was watching some clips of some of the earlier tournaments today (specifically, Nagano's Stage 1 clear in Sasuke 13), it seemed like they used Yagyu-Gaiden instead of the original Sasuke clear theme. So, is it just me or has the "new" version been used longer than we've thought? |

I checked Nagano stage 1 in 13, that is the new one. However, when I orginally reasearched this, I checked every tournament from 15-20 that we have, and everything from 15-19 was the old one. Apparently that was just an exception.
So that means..
1-19 with 1 exception used Original Sasuke Clear Theme, 20-26 with a few exceptions used Sasuke Clear Theme.

Uhhh... You guys do realize that the "Original Sasuke Clear Theme" IS Yagyu-Gaiden... It's just a different version of the song used for a movie.. The version from Yamato (the one they use now) is a remake
(We haven't found an mp3 of this version though)

Yeah.. I had to build mine from various clips from various sources, took a few hours, that why it sounds choppy at places. I dont have an mp3.

My point was pretty much that (contrary to what most of us probably thought) the Musashi version of Yagyu-Gaiden was used at least once before Sasuke 20. Though I don't understand why they would've only used it randomly once before that tournament. After all we know that the original version of Yagyu-Gaiden is still used pretty often in place of the new version, but whatever. This was just something I happened to pick up on.

They're both done by the same band, just one was made for a movie, one was made for a CD.
This wasn't a homemade remix or something made just for Sasuke...
I called it Original Sasuke Clear theme based on when it was used on the show, not when it was made.

Noticed they used the Yamato version for Nagasaki's Stage 1 clear in 15 as well. Does this mean that version of Yagyu-Gaiden was also used sporadically throughout some of the other tournaments preceding 20? Because I'm 100% sure this example is the newer version and I'd assume if I looked a bit more into it I'd find a few more times it was used before 20.  |

If you had seen This you'd know Yamato with it's familiar Yagyu-Gaiden came out December 16, 2000. I'm sure it had to be used alot more than once before 20 |
