I had a small question. Has anyone ever gone on the log grip and their force in terms of starting the obstacle was so great that they missed the first drop of the obstacle and had a GIANT drop from the top all the way down to the end of the obstacle?
Also, has the obstacle ever gotten stuck going down the track? Watching Takamasa Nagasaki's run in Sasuke 20, the log almost stopped, but at the same time, seemed like the drops were VIOLENT compared to the other competitors.

To my knowledge no one missed the first drop. However, some people had so much momentum that the second drop was almost immediately after the first one. IIRC, I remember hearing Nagano got stuck in Sasuke 18 but that they completely erased that from the broadcast.

Actually... a guy who got FF'd in 18 answered BOTH your questions!
Unless you mean did someone fail immediately after getting on it in that case no one who has been broadcast ever did that..
But we have evidence it stopped for someone else besides Nagano in 18... Although the Sasuke 18 version had some cables looped around rings in the top of the track creating more friction than in the 19-25 version. So I don't think it ever stopped since...

I recall people going really fast on it, and it seeming like there was only 1 drop because of it.
And yes it has stopped before.

I've never seen one HUGE drop but I've seen 2 quick drops.
