I can't believe barely anybody's remarked on this yet, but this was the worst tournament ever for the Sasuke All-Stars! Not only did none of them clear Stage 1, but none even cleared the Jumping Spider!!! Granted there were only 3 of them, but in general what does everyone think about the All-Stars and their future considering the course stays relatively similar to what it is now? Was 26 just a fluke tournament for them or is this an ominous sign for their future?
Same with the Shin Sedai. Kanno and Jun failed the Rolling Escargot, they didn't even show Tajima IIRC, Yuuji went out on his third strike (close calls on the RE and JS and finally taken out by the HPA). Kouji was the only one to clear Stage 1, and then he shockingly failed the Metal Spin! Did they also just have a rough tournament or are they in potential trouble as well?
With the craziness surrounding 26's results, is it possible that the "foreigners" group will become more prominent in the upcoming tournaments? ANW3 is bound to send very promising athletes once again, and Taiwan's Li En Zhi is continuing to demonstrate exceptional consistency. Or, might there yet another miscellaneous group who will rise in this new era?
Initiate discussion.

The All-Stars will still be featured. But since M9 hung their hat with them and never transitioned to selling new stars, it feels like Sasuke will be done when there's no big celebrity to sell ads and the All-Stars can no longer carry the show by not getting through Stage 1.

Some of the new stars were over hyped imo.

All of them have amazing potential..... I think all of them have potential to make final stage. Sato Jun being the weakest but arguably has the best build for stage 1.

I still think that the Shin Sedai will be featured. There is a lot of uncertainty with the Americans. We're not sure if the Americans will be back for every tournament and who will be back each time. Plus, it's very unlikely that the Americans will go through this kind of training like the boot camp, if there is a Spring SASUKE.
Btw, we don't know Sato Jun failed the RE, we just know that he made it that far.

I think the "marketing" lies with the Americans and the "elders" such as Kongu, Okuyama, and Lee. Both Okuyama and Lee have been unbelievably consistent and show no signs of relenting. Okuyama especially has been a huge name in Shin-Sasuke and now in this era. I think people really like him- he's one of my top favorites and obviously has appeal (invited to Venice Beach for example).

It's all about who's big in Japan and who has the most fans. Why do you think Naoto and EXILE were featured so heavily in the marketing for this tourney? The New Stars are great if you want to see a 3rd Stage/Final Stage. But they won't keep enough eyeballs on the screen.

This sucks! Only three all stars. At least Shingo still has his perfect attendance record.
