So we've all seen how both Brian and Levi have done on Sasuke over the last 5 competitions, so I wanted to know what you guys think. I won't spoil Sasuke 26 at all so I'll just post the stats from Sasuke 20-25.
Levi has cleared stage 1 four out of the 5 times he has been on, stage 2 twice, and stage 3 he has failed the Shin Cliffhanger twice.
Brian has cleared the first stage 3 times, and the second stage only once, but it was in Sasuke 25 where the course was harder, and he has also progressed further everytime he has competed in Sasuke.
I think it's hard to decide which guy is better because I like both competitors and have talked to both on Facebook lots of times, and I think Brian adjusts to newer obstacles better than Levi because he seems to get through the new obstacles much quicker than levi can. But, Levi in Sasuke 23 DEMOLISHED stage 1 and in Sasuke 20 set a stage 2 record. I honestly can't vote for who is better, it's just too close.

I'm sticking to Brian simply because he kept getting better and better in each tourney. And so far hasn't pissed me off Levi had brilliant moments but IMO inconsistent.

Its really tough for me especially levi's second stage run from 25 was probably a fluke. I'm pretty sure he could have gotten to the third stage if the slider drop incident had not happened.

Arsenette said it best for now, just don't have the energy to explain why exactly I stand where I do on this subject. Its really tough for me especially levi's second stage run from 25 was probably a fluke. I'm pretty sure he could have gotten to the third stage if the slider drop incident had not happened. Yeah well, it did.

'Meeester Ameeericaa, Meeeester Neeeenja waarrior' Brian Orosco. Although in all honesty i think Levi, due to his slighther frame, has a better chance at the cliffhangers. I like em both though.

In my humble opinion I would have to go with Levi. Simply because of the fact his conditioning is superb. However Orosco definitely has the potential to exceed his previous achievements and become even greater if he increased his weight training sessions and got his diet (Nutrition is number #1, ask any true athlete) to where it needs to be.

Levi is simply a better athlete than Brian, though his record isn't too much better really.
He does have decent upper body strength and endurance now, more-so than Brian I think. He also has better speed and balance. He's an all around amazing athlete.
Though I do think there are other americans that have gone whom are better than him.

I agree, I believe Paul Terek could have been/could be the first American Grand Champion if he approached the course with a different mindset and put in the time and practice for obstacles such as the cliffhanger, jumping spider etc. Being an athlete of the highest caliber, he probably could have done it with a lot less training and practice than the average person would have to go through to achieve total victory.
I hope to see him compete again in the future. Sorry for going a tad off topic.

Too close to tell IMO. They've both done very well and are each very strong athletes who have the potential to go pretty far in the course. Considering Sasuke continues for a while longer and they both continue to compete, then it would probably be easier to tell which one is better overall. For now, however, it's been too short of an amount of time to make a clear conclusion.
Suppose, for example, that we were talking about Yamada vs. Yamamoto around Sasuke 7 or 8 on the same topic. At the time many of us would've probably said that Yamada was the better competitor so far (which some may still argue today), but in the long run over the course of 25 tournaments many of us would probably go with Yamamoto instead due to staying more consistent. So perhaps after a few more tournaments it'll be easier for us to tell if Levi or Brian is a better competitor.

Levi for some reason only seems to clear Stage 1 when Brian's there Brian's already proved he can perform at least at a Shingo level (good nuff in my opinion) Levi's better though because since he's made it furthest of the americans to stage three, I'll call it a Takeda level. Neither beat Nagano, but ya might as well call them all-stars.

It's too close to call, IMO. Neither have great upper-body strength. Levi's cardio seems to be better, but Brian doesn't make mistakes on the course.
But for me you've gotta split hairs when trying to put one over the other.

Levi for some reason only seems to clear Stage 1 when Brian's there Oh big deal, the one time he didn't clear stage 1 was because of no Brian and not because there was a killer slider jump that only one of the all stars made it to and was beaten by.

Levi for sure. Will anyone expect the results of 20?

You have to give Levi the nod just because he's been to stage 3 twice and he seems to handle stage 1 with ease. But I think Brian O has shown that he can continue to improve and so going by that, we could see him do well in stage 3. We'll find out tomorrow...

Sort of old topic but I'd definitely go with Levi, particularly after seeing him at the ANW Bootcamp (the one for Sasuke 26). Any questions of upper body strength seemed to be answered, especially the challenge when, because his team was shorthanded, he went twice, and BOTH his times were better than anyone else's, even though he was already fatigued after his first run. I'd even say Levi is better than David, even though I think many would disagree.

I'd even say Levi is better than David, even though I think many would disagree. Yup, definitely disagree. While Levi may be faster than David and have better coordination and cardiovascular endurance, he simply doesn't have the upper-body strength to be competitive in the third stage. David on the other hand is up there with the very best of the competitors. He mad it halfway through the UCH and Levi could hardly make it halfway through the SCH. It's true that stage 1 is really important, if you can't beat it you can't get to stage 3 and show off so you need skills there too (See Shinya). However, David has plenty of skill and speed to beat stage 1 with time to spare. So it doesn't matter if David's time is 20 seconds and Levi's is 30. They both beat stage 1. But David is stronger over-all. He's good in all the stages while Levi would fall apart once stage 3 hits. The over-all point of them going to Sasuke isn't to see how far they can get, it's to see if they can beat it. David definitely has the potential to beat the whole thing. Levi on the other hand I just couldn't see ever beating stage 3.... ever.
