Everyone should know by now that the rope junction has no function!!
I want you to tell me another obstacle that you think has no function.
Any obstacle from SASUKE 1 to SASUKE 25 may be used.
NO SASUKE 26 OBSTACLES ALLOWED!!!

Most of the earlier stage 3 obstacles... We may think the Rope Junction has no function... But it had more of a function than stuff like the Hang Move or something, I would say Propeller Untei but somehow someone failed there...

For the Propeller Untei, you had to consider that any contender would be hanging from their arms for quite some time. Many of the 3rd stage starters are just stamina wasters

At least thats failable if you totally misstime it like James Okada did, or just completely suck. I dont think the Hang Move can be failed.

You can't even fail it in their video games for the Game Boy. Even the Arm Bike was fail-able on the games. Swing Ladder for the guys is worse than Rope Junction. At least for the girls it moved more than just back and forth.

Hang Move. It was a time waster obstacle in a stage which had NO TIME LIMIT.
See, some would say the Conveyor Belt in Stage 2 would be pointless, but AT LEAST there, it took time away from the clock. The Hang Move is pretty much unfailable.

Now I think about it, there's a new 30 second time limit between moving through obstables
Hang move is an obstable. If used today, you could legally stay there as long as you like

There was never a time limit on how long you could take on the obstacle. You just can't rest for more than 30 seconds.

Oh ok, i see now, didn't understand the first time i read it. Imagine if the Hang move was after the UCH? Loooooooong break

No.. imagine if it was before it... We'd never see the UCH failed again... everyone would be attempting it fresh

Imagine if there were no resting spots, just hang moves. After every obstacle would be hang moves, and you could only be on them for 30 seconds. This would be instead of the resting platforms. It would be weird.

I was more thinking if it was after the UCH if someone passed the UCH they'd never finish the stage

That pole thing before Free Climbing in Sasuke 1 and 2. I don't even think it was possible to fail there.

That pole thing before Free Climbing in Sasuke 1 and 2. I don't even think it was possible to fail there. If you even want to consider that an obstacle!! The Chain Swing was an absurdly easy obstacle but I still think it would be a perfect First or Second stage obstacle. I always imagined it as a replacement to the Swing Ladder when it was there.
