Yes the ti-8x series is the one I'm talking about. And by changing the y values I mean when you put in Y= and it lists all the values y1, y2, y3.

I have one of those, used a lot for graphing. Try to be more specific and I'll get back.

When you try to graph something you put in y= and it list y1 , y2, etc, but my question is how do you change those ones?

All I do is when I'm in y= I arrow down and punch in what value or numbers I want. Don't see what I would want to "change" about those, didn't you mean the values?

Hmmm... well let me see if I can still make sense. When I press y= it lists y1, y2, y3, y4, y5, y6 and i want to change those into r1, r2, r3, r4, r5, r6 Do I make sense or am I still confusing?

can't be done, don't see why you would need to, haven't heard of r value. Stick with y and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Um, you can. If you still need to know how, hit the MODE key on your calc, scroll down. At the row where it says "Func Part Pol Seq", go right and select Pol (for polar mode). Then you'll have r1, r2, etc. and the x key will become theta.

Almost the same, go to Mode, go to the same row, and select Func instead (for Function).
