I heard one competitor failed the first stage because he didn't realise there was a buzzer you had to press
Does anyone have a video/evidence of this?

IIRC it's a G4 mess up.I honestly can't remember which tournament it was (but it was an early tournament for sure), but I do remember that in fact the competitor didn't fail. He did forget about the buzzer, but he still had a few seconds or so left, so once he realized there was something wrong he just pressed the buzzer and passed.

Lol didn't Morgan Ham, or his brother, whatever his name was, forget the buzzer in stage 2 in like Sasuke 14 or 15?

In 2 or 3 and also 1 (As in AND 1, not OR 1... I'm confusing myself here...) a couple people forgot to press the button but they had plenty of time and just pressed it and cleared...
It was Paul, And it was 14... But yes.. He timed out not realizing he had to hit the button

I swear I remember someone in stage 1 failing because they got to the top with only a few seconds left and forgot to press the button.
It could just be my memory playing tricks on me, but I swear there have been a few cases were people "almost" forget, and I swear there was once, just once that someone didn't press it.

I dont think its ever happened in the first stage. In the second it has though. Like arty said, if it did it was probably an early tournament.
Btw, welcome to the forum! Finally a new member who posts and has good posts!

Tried to find Hamm videos on the G4 site and it showed their successes.. and not the buzzer screw up.

You can always PM a mod (Scnoi, Supersheep) to help you out on that. You can get the full broadcast of 14 from them.

I actually watched 14 the other day (it was on G4)... I can tell you this much. Hamm claimed to not know that he had to hit the buzzer, although he probably would have run out of time anyway. The smoke actually did go off at the end of the run so maybe he would have made it. And also there was a guy in SASUKE... 2? that cleared and was about ready to go down the pole but jumped back down and hit the buzzer.

No this is the story, Hamm got past the 3rd wall of the wall lift with about I think 1 second and then went through the gates because he thought that was way to clear the 2nd stage. But that was against the rules so he was disqulfaied* *I spelled the word wrong sorry.

Not as much he was disqualified as much as he timed out... If he had like 30 seconds left I would assume he could just go back and hit the button assuming he didn't step off the course by then..
